I think you should have to do it from their profile, so its not jsut as passive as clicking a button, it would be abused less.

Well let's think about it. Why would you give out Karma?
They say something intelligent in a serious discussion forum, or they manage to carry on the conversation without spamming, flamming, or trolling. Perhaps give a newbie a point for making a good first post, or just for being around.
In the maps help section they actually leave a helpful post. Detailed instructions, alternatives, etc.
In the maps showcase they don't say "OMG THIS IS SO COOL!" or "OMG YOU SUCK." They would say "nice idea, nice layout, but there is a glitch here and here."
They beta test something for you well without whorring karma/ minerals out it.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice guesture to give your friends points for being around but you know, that's not all you should use them on.

Admins shouldn't be allowed to have karma either ways.
Even if they post something stupid (which they don't), they'll get karma for "whatever they did in the past".
There's really no point seeing Yoshi getting to 1000 karma in a matter of weeks.

The whole point of only giving people one karma per week means less abuse, and eventually, later this week they'll have to give it to other members instead of me or whoever.
Plus, the fact that I don't know who gave me karma make its all better. I can't actually favour someone more or less if I don't know who gave it. (I'm gonna make a rule against telling someone you gave them karma a bit later).
