I have some MAC computers in my school and I HATE them. I hate the interface and trying to type reports on them, so gay. closedeyes.gif

OMG tat woz liek sum hilairius shit rite thurr!

Always used a Mac, never owned a PC. This Mac has crashed once in 6 months. Ironically, Microsoft Word crashed it, and I lost a piece of coursework.

Mac users are picked on because they are a minority and use specialist machines - surely that must be racist. wink.gif

That said, Apple's shares are falling because investors know that the iPod won't last for ever. I love my G5 iMac though. An entire computer contained in a flat-panel (well - 1.5 inch panel) display - you have to love it. I hope Apple doesn't die any time soon, but it's unlikely that I'll be needing tech support for 20 years or so, what with the life expectancy of some Macs.

EDIT: I see some expletives are no longer censored on here.

Mac 9- Freezy, crashy, blah

Mac 10.2 - Good, but might crash or freeze every once in awhile if you load it with crap

Mac 10.3 - Never has crashed. Never has frozen. Never has been virused.

Ive had all of these.
And at least we have some Mac supporters here.

Yeah that's what I'm on right now. I have an old G4 tower next to it as an external harddrive. Good stuff.

Windows Anything: Mainstream
Mac: Not Mainstream

It's easier to target something mainstream because everyone else is targeting it too. So the imformation is abundant on the internet.

I do not like macs because they are confusing and annoy me, and also the fact I have only had PCs.

Lots of people have Macs and like them. Why can't you people respect that?

ADDITION:
Also, a lot of people like Macs because they are not as expensive as PCs.
I am looking for a computer to buy, all the macs are about half the price of PCs.

Also, no Macs, no iPods.
(Why is everthing that is mac have an "i"? iMac iBook iPod iEtc.)

While I agree with you to an extent, remember that Macs are UNIX machines, which are favoured by governments, militaries and agencies with security as their #1 priority. Surely UNIX machines are inherently more secure in some way?

Macs are actually far more expensive than PCs. The 'i' thing is just a marketing gimmick.

Geez, you guys are ignorant. Macs are the standard for the music and movie industries. They would still have plenty of business even if people outside of those industries stopped buying them.

Man you sure can spell. Also don't you think the fact that Mac is such a minority makes it less prone to people who create viruses, because why would they waste their time with a computer that not many people use?

Also about the Mac interface, what's with the scrolling? Why do I have to constantly hold down the mouse button.

Also even though you can attach a 2 button mouse, what the hell is with the single button mouse?

The first Mac mouse was a single-click. They stuck to their roots. I use a double-click mouse and I'm on a Mac. How is this an issue?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by chuiu on 2005-05-14 at 16:57:04
It's an issue because most people are used to:

Left: Normal selection tool
Right: Popup Menu/Alternate tool
Middle: Scroller/2nd Alternate tool

And if you think about it, it's very useful to have multiple functions on a mouse. In some games it can replace a joystick.

Some mouses have 7 buttons (like a joystick, with it being a mouse) crazy.gif

They made a Counter-Strike for Mac? When?

From the official Counter-Strike website:
QUOTE
Why isn't there a Mac version of Counter-Strike?
A Mac version of Counter-Strike hinges on Valve Software porting Half-Life to the Mac. Their planned Mac port fell through. Thus, there will not be a Mac CS version (atleast not in the near future). In other words, the possitility of a Mac port isn't up to us.
