All NES, SNES, N64 games will be downloadable. You can play any GC games you have on it.

This is better than what I wanted Nintendo to do with this system, I am definately getting it.

You can't just play any Nintendo game on it. There's only a port for GC games, if you have the game at hand. However, if you have internet, you will be able to DOWNLOAD to play classic games. Nintendo has not confirmed if it is the entire library of older games, let alone if it is free, but the ability to do this will excite some retro gamers.

I for one am waiting to see the Rev's controller, since it has remained a mystery so far. The Playstation 3 is confirmed to be at $500, according to Sony officials. Guess that means I'm not going to buy it...

Cept for the Ps3 controller, the handles are just too...long..and...neh.
The Revolution does look kinda VCR-esque, but, yet again, sleek and sexy.

Everbody I know, says "OMG! PS3 IS GOING TO BE FASTER AND BETTER THAN XBOX360!"

Can't you all see this is a ploy by sony? I mean, they only released the specs days after xbox 360 did. The point is, Sony doesn't actually have this fantastic system done yet, but they're trying to. All the specs are about 5% over the xbox 360.

Sony is desperately trying to keep its reputation up as the leading console maker by making it small and at the same time always more powerful then whats out there.

A 5% speed difference is hardly worth any bragging rights, sorry. I'm going to choose games & features over apparent "speed", and my preference will be the xbox 360.

The 360 was obviously not ready for E3, but they still wanted to give everyone something. So they hooked up some macs. I doesn't matter to me, because they'll be ready later.

I saw the E3 breifing. The fact that the thing is going to be a "all in one entertainment system" really shows something. Yes, I'm a huge Halo fan, yes, I like a lot of the games for xbox. The eqivalant to Halo in PS3 would be Killzone, which I tried, and I absolutely hated. I never liked the controller for PS to begin with, but they've seem to have made it even worse in PS3 now.

But if it isn't a ploy?
What if the Ps3 actually DOES boast these specs?


And two teraflops is a 100% increase over 1...not 5%


Personally, I hope Sony releasing these stats scares Microsoft into upping the ante even more, and going all out, in which case Nintendo and Sony would follow suit, and every system would be Uber-powerful, and then they can give them away for free, and have the same games on all of em, and...and....we could all just be friends.

Sony has been releasing information about their new processor and what they're going to use in the PS3 for months now, Microsoft has barely done that before they finally released the console.

The fact that Sony released the information on theirs after Microsoft doesn't mean anything, it was done at and for E3. Same with Nintendo.

The truth is, Sony isn't lying about those specs. You can rest in knowing that for right now, the X box is better than the PS2 in as many ways as the PS3 is better than the X box 360.

And dont forget that Sony is trusty. Like how i got a PS2 for free from sony because my PS2 wouldnt function as well as it used too. (Didnt read blue discs, and occasionally needed several tries to read other discs) Xbox users would never say that.

Quick answer, it is now.

Yes, I had to get my original PSX fixed twice due to controller port problems that were my own stupid fault. Sony repaired it for free the first time, and sent me the replacement part the second time free. I have had no problems with my PS2 untill the miniPS2 came out (co-incidentally) And by that time, I didn't care. Because I had the miniPS2 with the improved functions and built in online support. The problem with my PS2? It would no longer read anything. Which I hear is a common problem with earlier PS2's. The funny thing is, I used the console A LOT and it was one of the first models to hit the US.

No, Square Enix is working for Xbox, not Final Fantasy for Xbox... They already made a deal with Sony about Final Fantasy, but Xbox users might get other games made by Square Enix...

And... how come Xbox 360 came out with their color right after Sony came out with theirs? Can't you see, Microsoft prolly payed Sony to make their design or to keep it a secret that they stole it... And it looks like you can put a Xbox 360 on top of a PS3 cuz:

My guess with the new Xbox design is that people complained about the old xbox being so big they decided to make it smaller and then make it look even smaller by concaving everything.

Most the Xbox exclusive games BLOW. Okay? I've yet to see any reason to buy Xbox games when i get them on PS2. I bought one, and tried the controller on two games. I absolutely hate it. I LOVE the PS2 controller, since it's not a bulky piece of shit with tenty million buttons. I doubt I'm going to buy consoles anymore, I intend to buy a PSP sometime soon, seeing how hard handhelds pwn and all.

Xbox has just as many buttons as Ps2

The way I see it, the only good xbox exclusive games are Halo1 + 2

Kow, im guessing youre not an xbox user, because if you were you would know that halo 1 and 2 were the biggest but not necesarily the best games for xbox.

i agree with yoshi. as if the PS2 controllers wernt bad enough, now the PS3 controller looks like something that shouldn't be in an 8 year old kids bedroom.

i also agree with yoshi,

the macs were only used in a last minute attempt to show off the xbox without looking like they had nothing, which is what most people (*coughps2userscough*) would think.

haha!! thats a laugh. in my personal opinion, the microsoft employees that design the xbox console, could probably make a better console in thier sleep.

i mean, sony overdid it a bit with this new ps3. its a not a great design.

so maybe im being a bit buyest because i own an xbox, but nevertheless,

the nintendo revalution looks sweet, (i was thinking more "next generation dvd player" look??)

if this special top secret controller doesnt look like a double sided artificial wang, it'll be a start.

next generation controller seems a bit desperate to me, why would they say that, if only to hype up the release of the revolution more.

i think that if gamecube never happened, nintendo just would have much more hype for this console.
