Fast metabolism is fun to have, especially for the not so thin ones like myself. I'm not fat persay but a little less pounds could do me some good.

All this talk about fat is making me want to workout more...

ya me to.. to bad i wont..
Couldn't be any further from fat. I am in martial arts and lift weights every other day.
coll you're in martial arts too which art do you take?
me I was in tae kwon do i made 2 degree black shortly before I had to move but i continue to practice
I am in Shaolin Kung Fu, it is extremely tough, and we often discuss other martial arts and see Tae Kwon Do as a lesser. Just because it is impossible to fight with it on a real street conflict, because it is comprised of mostly high kicking and there is very little application of punching. I have been in many other types of martial arts, but this one is defiantly my favorite because it is unlike most other forms.
Im actually starting Kendo and i may look into what your talking about because its not exactly easy to use the typically martial arts if for say your in a street fight.
I want to learn...but I can't because my mom thinks it's too dangerous or something...
One of my friends have been in Shaolin Kung Fu for 8 years, and I have been in Taekwondo for 2 1/2. We are pretty even in fighting skill even thought he is bigger and heavier. I am 5'9 and 130 pounds, he is 6'2 and 160 pounds. I agree that taekwondo has limits in street fighting, but you can change some kicks to work better in an open area. (I weight train everyday, do I already can punch very hard)
Me, fat? I am the complete opposite. Sure, I weight about 120 pounds, and I'm a bit more than 5'7", but I look really skinny. I have about 13% fat, and I don't do any sports or weight training (no real physical activity). I do eat a lot compared to the people around me, but then again, I have a quick metabolism. I'm your stereotypical Asian computer guy, minus the 1337ness in computers in terms of games and stuff like that.
I'm a weakling in every sense of the word. I have little strength, and due to my horrible health and workload, I can't seem to keep up with any martial arts program (I've taken Tae Kwan Doe, Judo (which is mandatory for a few year at our school), and Wing Chun). So yeah, I'm kinda...crappy.
Yea thats how i was a few years ago... then i got into senior year in highschool were i basically had everything completed so i spent 4 hours weight lifting each day... basically thats were i got my mass from...
I thought about doing Capoiera, but have never gotten around to it.
Never heard of it... oh but if anyone gets the chance to train with the infrantry corp. of the Marines... Do It... its freakin awesome. It was some little program that my college was running, basically i spent 2 weeks with the Infantry in the Marines doing everything they do... it was challenging as all hell but really fun. We basically spent 4 of the 7 days in the weight room and on jogs for a few hours, another 3 days we spent doing combat training (basic matrial arts, how to disarm a man, how to kill someone in 3 hits or less... those fun things) as well as how to shot your gun and doing obsticals such as water missions or training scenarios. If anything those 2 weeks were completely awesome... good training... and i got to play with an assortment of weapons

im so fat i make peter griffin on famliy guy looks thin

i get in alot of fights though and wins
:boxing: :boxing:

thats the best thing about being fat, you can take strong hits. and im pretty strong w00t
