That is a good point.
And that is kind of an odd question. The way I look at it, "who gets a cieling fan for their birthday?", obviously someone does if they just said they did.

Getting a car as a B-Day present... I'm sorry but that just screams prep anyway you slice it. I hate people who have spoilers on their cars, so very very much.

Not to kill your hopes and dreams, but my mom works for an auto shop and they have nothing good to say about Mitsubishi's.

I like mazda's, but I'm told I'm one of a few. biggrin.gif

I got a car for my birthday this year! Except that it's engine is broken and it's a piece of junk. But it's a summer project for me now! w00t.gif

That's exactly why you shouldn't get a car. Looks will always be outdated, so performance is where your money should be going. Get a car that doesn't break down easily, feels comfortable, has a good mpg, and then finally, care about the looks. And my friend has a Mitsubishi Eclipse and that piece of junk breaks down frequently. Mitsubishi needs to stick to their microwaves, not cars.

As for a car choice, choose one that is reliable and long lasting. A car is a BIG investment obviously, so make it count. My family has been using Toyotas and they work great, have a good mpg and aren't too expensive. The company has a good history and knows cars expertly. When I think of trucks or SUVs, I think of American cars. Unless you like to haul cargo, I suggest you get a sedan.
