Getting a laptop is the coolest thing! You've got the wireless network installed don't you? So you can walk around the house, laptop on, internet connected, looking so fascinating that Oprah would want to interview you...

Wow, yoshi. Nice laptop! It's sleek and got some nice features. But so does mine happy.gif
It's a Hp Pavillion Entertainment Notebook (model dv1005ap). Around 4lbs, 60Gb, supports Dvd and Vcd, and has a remote control so that I can listen music from the laptop while reading manga on my bed (hehehe). It also has the buttons for Media Player (Fast Forward, Play/Pause, Back, Stop, Lower Volume, Mute, Higher Volume). Supports wireless too, but I can't be bothered with it xD
Anyway, your comp's design is nicer than mine o_O

Hmm thats what happens when you jerk a hard drive while its powered and being used. You can PERMANENTLY destroy it. Mind you they don't say that on the physical laptop because it is supposed to stay in one place while in use.

LMAO

Who ever said that?

Every Computer Technitian and Engineer, along with myself of course.

As you might already know, a Hardrive is composed of a Magnetic disk that spins around at incredible speeds. we are talking tens of thousands of RPM's. There is an arm that is suspended just a couple of millimeters above this disk. If you walk around it will cause the disk to start vibrating because it is imposible for you to stay perfectly still. If the disk vibrates enough, it will eventually hit the arm with the equivalent force of a Boeing 747 crashing against a mountain, but at a much smaller scale but the force is still there. Basicly, the disk will shatter.

Wow... where did you learn that? I'm feeling jealous pinch.gif

I learnt that by doing it...once. That was fun. So is wreaking havoc with the gyroscopic effect of a stripped harddrive. But that works best with first genereation 1 GB harddrives (I had 3).

Actually, it was an uncle of mine who introduced me to the fun of ripping apart harddrives. Quite dangerous though. biggrin.gif

Dell laptops are awesome. For the price I got this lappy for, it is a very sexy design. Its extremely fast, widescreen, everything (and I just got all games, such as halo you saw before, and starcraft too, to "strech" to widescreen.

I have no complaints about it at all. I'm very satisfied happy.gif
