If they were 1v1 no weapons, MC would own him. If they had weapons and Gordon had Grav Gun while Cheif had Scarab, it dont matter cause Scarab Gun owns and Grav gun just picks things up. Chief would win ez.

Of course Master Chief would win one and one, he is trained to be lethal with or without a weapon. Gordon, I'm not so sure, just a guy who can use weapons.


Hmm, it just picks up things? What if it picks up Master Chief? If you ever try shooting while in the air, you have no accuracy, so he'll just fling Master Chief around with it, and eventually kill him, so he wouldn't win easy.

im not gnna be part of this argument lol but im suprised that no one has touch on the fact Gordan has the hazard suit, he has the shields on that suit, damage indicators, if you listen the suit automatically administers medication to his inguries and keeps him moving, plus the HL2 RPG is basicly remote controlled unlike the halo 2 rocket launcher so thats a plus for freeman, i was ganna touch on the vehicles but thats common sence who wins that, how freeman will win-

take a poison head crab and give it to MC as a gift let him get bt and shoot him with a pistol =P

Ice, play half life two to the end before you say "the gravity gun just picks stuff up", thats a gross understatement, the gravity gun picks stuff up, and throws it at a velocity sufficient to kill someone with a bedframe instantly, and thats the NORMAL one, later in the game it gets upgraded, and is an instant kill.

Master Chief, considering his armour is like tons in weight, he's geneticly augmented, his suit increases his already insane strength.

And the gravity gun isn't powerful enough to pick up the chief. Its about 1.5+ tons, and the gravity gun can't even pick up a dumpster, or a car, which weigh less.


It only does that to the poison from the Black Headcrabs.


It wouldn't break through his shield.

Wait, Master Chief could just headshot his ass cuz Master Chief has a helmet and that Harry Potter guy has no helmet... And plus Master Chief is black, they give him the advantage to not look like racists...

Yes, but it needs to be infused with Dark Matter to do that. In that case, Gordon wouldn't have his pulse rifle. Either way, *unplugs ethernet cable* *waits 1 second* *Plugs ethernet cable back in* Take that Gordon! See, Half-Life doesn't have those kinds of glitches to own anything . By the way, I am an avid supporter of Half-Life > Halo 2.

The Super Gravity Gun can pick up just about anything.

Yeah, you pick up giant hunks of metal with it later in the game, and its pulse attack AND pickup are instant kills.

You'd have to hit the rockets on the side, probably twice to shoot them back. Hitting straight on would probably blow them up. Again, this is theory, since we have no real gravity gun.



Yea, but what are the chances of him having it? I mean, at the end the G-Man takes him away again, and probably took all his weapons. We can assume they aren't fighting on the last two levels of HL2, or else you'd fight him in the game, so theoretically, Gordon has no weapons, assuming the G-Man took them all away again. And if you say MC wouldn't have any weapons, he'd still win, since he's genetically augmented, and can flip 66 ton tanks. I think he could punch a whole in Gordon.

You get the Ant Lions in, what, two levels? Nova Prospect, and when you first get the bug bait. And, assuming any Poison Headcrabs were their, they'd probably be like the Infection Form of the Flood, just explode when they touch the MC's Plasma Shields.

Hmm.... Ive never played Half-Life 2, just 1...

Got HL2 for my birthday. Along with Halo for the PC. My two best friends gave me 40 bucks total, so i bought Hitamn 2, Rogue Spear (which sucked),and Deus Ex.

ham, you can get HL2 in Thai, along with instructions on english conversion, off of ebay for around twenty bucks (thats how i got it).

Not really sure how any of that relates to Master Chief vs Gordon Freeman, but hey, sounds cool. The crowbar is probably made of ADAMINTINE.

Ya, I realize I'm late, but...
If you're going to say that, you could just as easily say that the Master Chief's gravity-manipulation technologies( which I'm assuming he has, judging by his oddly drifty and absurdly high jumps, and the fact that he can change direction in mid-air ) would be able to counteract the gravity gun.
Half Life 2 takes place in "another universe, another place", and "does not have to follow the same laws of physics or time as the real world does".
So, if the universe-rules are so very significantly different from real-world ones, then it's impossible to even make a comparison. Assuming they do take place in the same universe, presumably one in which there's this "human" named Gordon Freeman, and this "human" in some green armor, you can atleast compare them by effects of weapons upon various enemies or environments, their technologies, their stated technical info, and so forth.

Gravity gun and pulse rifle secondary would own MC. Just own.
