I don't think the Mac is immune to all viruses.

Mac OS X - Great interface, great for networking, has the Terminal, good for graphical and video applications. Immune to all viruses. Partially immune to spyware. Windows owns it for gaming.

God I just despise the Mac interface closedeyes.gif

I suppose telling someone to stop posting is more offensive then telling someone to shut the f*** up. Go figure.

...I just find that one of the funniest, and joking around pictures ever. Its not like i just went "ULTIMO, SHUT THE F*** UP NOW!!!"

Anyway, captainwill described it very well...

Mac isn't immune to viruses. Its an unpopular OS, so no one bothers to make viruses for it.

As of today, there isn't a known virus for OS X.

I could rustle one up in a few minutes in Terminal though. blink.gif

Also, the interface is only horrible to those with Swedish IKEA minds and like straight lines rather than curves. wink.gif

Just to prove my point further, this it taken directly from the site stats. Every 50th hit is a mac user, and actually thats HIGHER than most sites.

You get hits from Linux!?

Its not uncommon for people to have windows and linux on the same computer. They visit the site on linux sometimes, but they play starcraft and make maps on windows.

I thought that Macs didnt get vrisues because its unpopular and hard to... lets say... decode?

Nope. Windows is the number one digital target for finding security flaws. Everyones doing it. If Macs were the number one target, then they'd have more flaws then windows.

All I know is that it's getting to the point where I just can't play against Zerg anymore. 50% of the people I play are pulling this lame stuff now. I guess BNet West is home to hackers, time to move to a different server wink.gif.

Play with people in map night. Nobody uses hacks, because if they do and we find out, they get banned from the channel.

The interface is horrible for anyone with eyes tongue.gif I actually hate all those curves, it makes it look so dumb, and the X and minimize and crap are crappy circles that look all special.

It doesn't feel "personal" that's why PC's own wink.gif

Haha, you're jealous of the outstanding graphics!

Yea, making a damn window so damn beautiful is really nice to look at. I don't need to see outstanding graphics in the actual damn interface. Plus that Finder crap is queer.

Anyways, you're the kind of person that seems to hate literally everything, just because you're a hard core PCer.

Yes, that video is still amusing today, but is no longer valid in the Mac vs PC argument.  Mac OS X is the most stable/advanced OS on the planet.

No I'd say Linux and Unix own the censored.gif out of OSX. See and servers running on OSX? Nope, You see them running on Unix and Linux. Know why? They are more stable than Macs will ever be. Here's my expereience on a Mac.

Open iMovie HD. Crashes. Open again. Crashes. Repeat. Doesn't crash and I can go back to working.

Open PhotoShop CS2. Realizes has a 1 button mouse. Turns off Mac and goes to PC.

Open Motion. Realizes this is taking WAY too damn long. Looks at system settings. Sees 1.75 GHz. Laughs.

Opens iMovie HD. Continues working.

Opens GarageBand 2. Makes music for movie. Imports.

Open iMovie. Read first entry.

Open iMovie. Finishes movie.

This all takes a few hours. Linux will NEVER do that. Only problem with Linux is when the rare time it does go boom boom, you don't understand what the hell happened.

As soon as you start windows you're running IE. That's window's version of Finder.

Whats with you people and the one button mouse!?! Who cares!?! get a two button one! Especially you, shadow. You have a windows, so take the windows and plug in into your mac!

Apple now has a new mouse with much more than 4 buttons.

The problem isn't which OS is better, SC is just, if you will, native to Windows. The Mac version is like a port, and as such was only intended for normal gameplay, and as such lacks the necessary internals in the Windows VERSION, not the Windows OS.

No, Windows uses Explorer.exe, but IE is IExplore.exe

I would take the Windows start menu over the Mac's thing.

In my experience, my Mac has never crashed. Well actually none of my 3 Macs have. If Macs had the same selection of games that PCs would, then this wouuld be a pretty valid and useful debate. But because most PC users use games as their complete arguement against Macs, then it is a completely stupid debate. Its not the fault of Apple or Mac users that game companies decide to solely design games for PCs, they're just unwilling to tap into a large market.

In my experience (as a film student), I've found Macs to be much better computers for editing film and designing graphics for said media. I don't use iMovie to edit, I use Final Cut Pro - which is the closest thing amateur filmmakers can get to the actual Avid editing system. And its Mac-exclusive.

Over what, the "Finder?" Think of it as opening the Start Menu as an actual folder. I definately prefer the folder.
