Plasma Pistol and Battle Rifle - Noob combo(2) = You're not that good at Halo 2 and will never be.
Anyone who hates the Battle Rifle - Shouldn't be playing Halo 2 = Noob.
Battle Rifle and Sniper Rifle - Use these and you can get better at Halo 2 = You're not a noob.
If you don't know what MLG is. - Omg... = Noob.

I like Battle Rifle and a Plasma Rifle
Mostly I just use battle rifle, You can either do 2 bursts into their head ( 4/6) is only required. or just melee them and shoot them in the head, those serve well.
Plasma rifle is just for when I feel like it.
Plasma + SMG = Ownage to the core, especially to a good aimer.
Shotgun + Sniper Rifle = An ownage.
You get used to battle rifles once you play NS Battle Rifle ( NS = No shields )

theres no doubt. battle rifle is the best. and SMG is good, if you use it right, it can be used best in some situations, although not many.

The combo that I always use is the Plasma Pistol, and the Battle Rifle.
Just charge up the pistol, shoot them with it... Pull out the battle rifle and pwn them.

Newb Combos:
Plasma Pistol + Battle Rifle/Magnum (Head Shot)
Needler + Needler (Only little ammount of needles to shoot out, it'll explode)
Triple Dual:
1 SMG (or any other dual), pickup a different dual, use the different dual gun dual a SMG, and pickup/switch the left gun to SMG.

Yes, SMG is good against Banshees and few other vechiles.

OMG dude the noob combo is the SMG/PP BR/PP Magnum/PP etc etc. If you use those combos all the time you are classifed as a noob.
