This isn't something as simple as "an eye for an eye" (which Christianity preaches against, yet Bush uses Christianity as a reason to go into this 'war on terrorism'.).

• I think we went into the was in a horrible way. To go into war w/o UN approval was idiotic. IDIOTIC. The UN is kind of like the democracy of the world. They vote over things, and it is the choice of many countries whether or not to go to war, pass a law, etc. The US going to war without UN approval was almost like throwing away what we are going into Iraq to establish, democracy (if you believe what Bush says). It is rebelling against a good and smart organization.
• This war is not about Iraqi terrorist groups, it is about oil. There are hundreds of books about this. There was a video floating around the net showing the CEO's of the oil tycoons (Exxon, Mobil, etc.) splitting up Iraqi oil. American soldiers are dying because of oil. Bah, that's just not right...
• Even if the UN had given approval, we shouldn't have sent in so many troops. If the middle east poses such a threat with their WOMD (weapons of mass destruction), then why doesn't the rest of the world come and help us in this war? Why did we not find any WOMD in Iraq? Why did Bush lie to America about the WOMD? (Oil ).
• We were a major force in putting Saddam in power.

WE started the UN, it was OUR idea!!!
we had about 54% UN apporval, so we didnt go in complety unsupported!
We are still in there to help restore a system of gov't that was destroyed by Saddaim!

So what if the UN was our idea? Does that give him the right to ignore what the UN says?

The reason we aren't getting international support in Iraq is because Bush rushed into the war ALONE. These countries are watching Bush making bad decisions in Iraq, so they can say I told you so later. TONS of money and resources have been devoted to this war, when, if we had international support, the war would only have a fraction of its current budget.

What was his very good proof? I'm very curious? Those spy photos that showed the Iraqis 'hiding' the WOMD before the UN inspection?



That's a very childish stance to take. I think it takes a real wuss to give into primordial aggression, and fight back as soon as your stricken at.

Where did you get this? I can find nothing that mirrors that info.

Plus, I approve of the US going to fight terrorism. But that doesn't mean I support Bush, and the way he goes about getting rid of terrorism.

I only have thing against the iraqies. i dont like them they have issue. the only reason i hate them is because they pick off our soldiers. they asked us to come in and terminate Saddam and now we try to help them and they try to kill us. im surpised the 2nd 9/11 doesnt happen

I think it is such a difficult subject to talk on, and bias views cannot be helped, but the best idea, is to stop bloodshed, by the best means, not the fastest, because rarely is that that the best idea!

i think USA went into this the right way. We would have never went in there if they had just handed him over. We had enough evidence to be suspicious, we saw military trucks moving from faciltys. Recently we found a type of gas (cant remember what its called) they had claimed they destroyed all of this type of gas. Also we are giving the country back to them with a working government so they can be their own people. We are fixing the damages we caused. so i for one believe we are doing the right thing

I can honestly say thats the first time I've heard a truly intelligent rationale for Iraq.

I have a few things to say, though:
-If their whole purpose in Iraq is to oust Sadam Hussein, why are they still there now?
-Even if it seems as though Hussein lied (the chemical could have been created without his consent or knowledge), isn't going to war a little extreme? Especially without the consent of the UN?

I'm sorry to inform you, but not all Iraqis want all Americans to die. That is like saying you hate all Muslims because Muslims were responsible for 9/11.

The ones that asked us to 'terminate' Saddam (after we put him into power ) are NOT the ones killing us.



I agree with a bit of this. I think suspision doesn't warrant a war though. And I think we would have gone in there is they had handed him over. We are NOT fixing the damages we have caused. Bush glorifies the Iraqi reparation efforts, I've heard tons of stuff on the radio about how little we have actually done in the reparation category.
