Okay, listen up.
You don't pay monthly fees for Starcraft and other games because, for the most part, the games are hosted on one of the players computers. BNet is onl used to connect them.
For WoW, everything is run from their servers, and those things have one hell of a maintinance cost. The point is, though you have bought their game, you still have to rent their servers. Would you still enjoy MMO's if you were the only real player?

If it's for that reason alone then Guild Wars should have monthly fees. But it doesn't, it some how can manage it. And i'll just remind everyone that the whole "They make new quests" thing isn't really worth it. They should be spending their time making an expansion or a second installment instead of charging you a new game every 3rd month when really your basically buying 2 hours of content at the price of 50$. That's just flatout stupid.

It helps! That way if you want to Pay to play, it doesn't cost so much. I got mine for 20 bucks. If you pay 50 thats your loss. Thats almost 70 dollars a month!

2O + 13 x 6 = 78 Dollars in all! Woot!
50 + 13 X 6 = 128 Dollars in ALL! NO W00T!!

See what I mean? Try and get it from a friend, they give you good deals wink.gif.

15 dollars a month against 60$ (It's 60 not 70) a year. I would take yearly any day, the Xbox Live has two plans 60 a year or 10 a month. If you can do math since the 4th grade you'd know that the monthly plan charges you 120 dollars yearly. I don't mind the Xbox Live plan, it's not that bad. But 15 dollars a month is ridiculos.

Just try the trial. WoW owns all, I'm sure you'll gladly fork over $15 a month to play once you've tried it.

I wouldn't fork over 15$ a month for any game. And I already told you that the trail blows (See first post). I started to install it and it says Insert Disc 1. However I have played a few minutes of it over someone's house, it's nothing I'd waste money on. I could be playing another game after 3 months with WoW.
And i'm also talking about Monthly Fees in general.

Dude, you can't install any game without the discs. That's just plain common sense.

When you posted this type of title, you weren't specific enough that I thought it was Xbox Live. By the way, I got the card that I don't have to pay for a amount of months.

I do believe it's 50$ a year, and 5$ a month for live.

And this is why you play on private servers. Lineage II works like the ideal MMORPG. From what I gathered at their site, you can either download, or buy the game. The downloaded game is free, but you can't access their servers unless you get a CD Key/Code that you get from buying the CD or buying a code. It's free from there on, but others host private servers for free, so you don't, in essence, need to pay at all.

It was a demo smart one, try reading. Are they going to send me the disc over the internet? "Plain Common Sense".

5$ a month = 60$ a year.

Ugh, that's what I meant, I'm still getting used to this keyboard's numbers, and there's no number pad. Wait, no I think I meant the 50, because I bought a year's worth of xbox live and a headset (that came with it) for $50, and it would not make sense to have monthly be equal to yearly (in time/money).

Mmh, I pay a montly fee for Rose. You can just download it from the official site, and play it free for 3 weeks or so. After that its 12 euro's a month. Point is, I usually finish a game thats around 50 euro's in about 2-3 weeks, a couple of times. For rose, I can play 4 months, cheaper then the other games. After that, yes, it becomes more expensive, but you pay for what you use. That's why I support Pay 2 Play.
