QUOTE
What if there was the Covenant, and they were called something else and what if they looked exactly like the Covenant.

Why would they be "called" something else? If it looked like the Covenant, and acts like the Covenant, chances are we are gonna call it, the Covenant. Just becuase it might come to us and say "OMAGSDGAKSNDG kjasgfbawejfnasdA@#RA <---[insert high pitch squeel here]" which in its language means "We are Troldiants", we're still gonna call em Covenants.

A dog may think its a bark, but we still call it a dog.

ok then, what would you call them if we encountered them before the game Halo existed.

"OMAGSDGAKSNDG kjasgfbawejfnasdA@#RA <---[insert high pitch squeel here]"

but now that we have Halo we don't need to call it that.

thats more of a warcry/noise the Covenant would make. BUT if there was no game such as Halo, then what would we call this so-called alien race bent on destroying us humans. What would you call them if they suddenly attacked Earth without warning. Its obvious we would call them Aliens, since we have never heard of a game called Halo.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Diggidoyo on 2005-12-02 at 02:50:34
True. But the point is its too late for that nonsense. Halo is already out and there's nothing we can do about it. If a zergling came into my house and asked to borrow my spatula, i'd still call it a zergling.

The Covenant are called the Covenant because they are a group of seperate races bound together by religion. Such a bond is known as a 'Covenant'.

We ar talking about the real life aplication of starcraft in a sense.I mean if its possible to be out there we might just have to start wondering what else is out there...*BACKGROUN:WE R THE BORG RESISTENCE IS FUTILE,AHH HELL ZERGS AGAIN?!*

ADDITION:
And this is all the more serious cause of one fact:We want to meet aliens yes?but what if the aliens want to:eat us,blow us up,enslave us,play god with our race, use us for sport(Predators) or any countless other possibilities.

what they said before of 300 billion galaxies maybe there are more than that OR LESS WE DONT KNOW for ourselfs the universe its what we know right now pinch.gif

BUT NO its not possible that starcraft can exist there is 0.000000007% that it can exist

beacouse it came from an idea wink.gif

its like to say STARWARS was real and jorge lucas just copied it to make a movie for money. happy.gif

If i believe in the parralel theory then yes i would believe starcraft.

a billion has more zeros than 0.000000007% numb nutts and you just said there could be many more than we estimate so that makes it all the likely.

QUOTE(Voyager[MM)
]If you believe in parallel universes, then yes, in fact, it's already happened an infinite amount of times.

I believe it happens again and again.. as long as I believe that, which I think I do.

At least, it is a hope that it's happening. I'm sure I believe in life other then ours in the world, even in the solar system, though In the solar system I dont believe there is sentient life.
I don't believe in powers of the mind, which some would call Psionics, but I believe the manipulation of the magnetic field to create force fields.

anything is possible. But not exactly the same. Its possible that there is something like SC going on. But dont expect the high tech alien race to be called Protoss. Or the humans Terrans. Or wait, what if they are even humans.

Of course not exactly the same. One marine isn't in essence exactly the same as another marine in a parallel universe, even if identity and thoughts are the same.
But as a bystander, I believe it could look exactly the same; An admiral Dugalle, a Jim Raynor, a Kerrigan.. A Zeratul, a Tassadar.
It probably happens very differently as long as there are infinite universes, but once in a while two invasions in different universes seem to be exactly the same.

If you you believe in the parallel universe theory, then everything has happened, is happening and will happen an infinite amount of times.

So, I believe that the events in Starcraft have happened, is happening and has happened an infinite amount of times (yes, even with the crappy AI pathing).
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Do-0dan on 2005-12-03 at 00:40:54
if everything happened, then has God in parallel dimensions shown himself?
was God proven to be true in other dimensions, because if he was, then does he control all the dimensions or just that one, and if there is a god in each dimension, then which god would win in a fight? uberwoot.gif

everything possible would have happened in parallel dimensions, but that limits the possibilities, so i doubt that there is a/was/will be a starcraft universe because it doesnt make sense
the protoss shouldve easily defeated the zerg, hands down
if you can make a wormhole appear somewhere in space, you could use that to destroy planets by creating one right inside the planet, and if that doesn't work, then they shouldve crashed carriers on every zerg infected planet at least
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Diggidoyo on 2005-12-03 at 00:51:16
What if there is a starcraft but we are the pawns?? ever think of that.

When you play starcraft, and the you tell you civilian to move to the beacon, he says "will do". His whole state of mind suddenly becomes that he needs and WANTS to move to that beacon. There is no puppet hand pushing or pulling him with strings. What if there is a commander or "executor" commanding us causing us to wage war on each other.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Syphon on 2005-12-03 at 00:55:36
Maybe SOMETHING like it, but with differences. First off, no psionics. AS it isn't physically possilbe. The protoss couldn't exist as they're biologically impossilbe. (No mouths, genitals, or excavative oraffii.)

Same with zerg, unless they're like super fishflies.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Wilhelm on 2005-12-03 at 01:27:24
Actually, the protoss could always intake food via pourous skin and then excrete via pourous skin. s for the psi blands, you can always make a laser, but shaping it is pretty impossible at the moment. Still, I doubt we'll be able to reach the protoss level of tech. And as for Starcraft... perhaps starcraft was not actually created, but rather, interpreted? The Psionic emanations were sent into the dreams of the Blizzard staff (who happen to have psionic powers, btw), and they then created, unwittingly, a game chronicling real events. They kept changing it throughout the development stages because there was a nagging call in their dreams that they didn't have it just right. Starcraft: Ghost is plain old bull though.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SilverPheonix on 2005-12-03 at 04:10:32
They lost the inspiration couse of one thing:The Protos have hidin their psionics so Kerringan can't find them and out of the hole zerg army only Karrigan has powerful psionics and their honned on finidng her foes.

ohmy.gif what if the terrans are playing a game on the little computer on installation terrain called "EarthCraft" and like it is like us. And they have a Earthedit.net and are discussing this right now.

then I would laugh for a minute or two then get on with my business
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Do-0dan on 2005-12-04 at 18:27:27
hey hey, this isnt the "What if" thread
besides, what would they play? humans vs other humans? the game wont last too long if the humans have war cuz we have nukes and the planet can explode, and if we have peace, then the game would suxxorz

Has anybody noticed that dropships can only carry a maximum of 8 passengers...?
You'd think with all the technology they have they'd work on their dropships smile.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Diggidoyo on 2005-12-04 at 18:38:10
Well they did put some research in it to be able to carry 2 seige tanks, which are bigger than the dropship...

The possibilities are pretty impossible to happen and if there were there wouldnt be an exact terran race

If Starcraft is possible i wanna be obducted by the Protoss, their soo cool! uberwoot.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Raindodger on 2005-12-04 at 21:58:16
Well, the Terrans have lots of issues. Like they cant load ppl on to BattleCruisers wtf? Battle Cruisers are suppost to be the largest aircraft in their fleet. And it can't even carry one measely Marine. I mean we all saw the intro to starcraft. Humongous Uber BC. And then the BC's in the game are like.. 1/1000'th of that. Yea the Terrans also obviously know nothing about teamwork. Building would be so much faster with 2 scv's making it at the same time, they're so antisocial. But at least they have enough technology to have infinite ammo, i mean the marines never run out.
