I just beat it, and it was a fun journey, but it's now over. The final boss was easy, but took a long time...
Knife thrower = my favorite.
O yea, I played this 1 player.
I hope you'll release #2, or even start it...

Edit: Now that i think it... it could be about a counter-attack to the Omicron Reign, where the Omicron Demon came from... but i don't know if it would be an rpg... still i will see later... i'm making Kills To Cash Perfect System and making Strings look pretty tongue.gif(Splash isn't handled too well when there are many players...)

That's because i used ice terrain too, but i didn't rip off anything, it's just the same type of terrain...
May be it looks same because Quests Open RPG is one of the few RPG maps that use ice...

This is one of those maps where playing this map is a lot more fun than spending my time making a map... I really enjoyed this.

Omnicron RPG

I just went over the game and I guess it's time to give this some feedback.

Story: From the looks of it, it seems pretty typical. A group of heroes 'summoned' to defeat a powerful being threatening the world. Or maybe there's more to it...or not. There's very little, if any, plot movement or development. Sure, some final bosses can be cheesed by saying the reason for their motives are...no wait, they pledge for insanity. Well, at least that's a reason. But who is this Omnicron guy? What does he want? What is his purpose? How did he get so powerful? Too bad we killed him before those questions were answered. As for the town, there is a single town. Now, I don't mind that there's only one, but since there's only one, you could've at least developed it more. At this point, it just seems like there's a king without subjects. Having some NPCs that could converse with you while the story progresses would build a solid foundation on a real backdrop for the game. Talking about story progress, there was none. In fact, you were sent straight to fight Omnicron, which you could've done if you're good enough at microing, but that's impossible, so we'll take that out of consideration. Simply said, you need a competent story.

Terrain: I actually didn't pay too much attention to the terrain work, but I do remember it giving an awfully similar feeling to the Open RPGs. That's not a bad thing, but you could've done so much more. Sure, you used an assortment of terrain, but it's all a bit too generic and the whole map was just a mixed bag. Another issue is space. There was alot of open space that just wasn't utilized. You need to work on that.

Battle System: Well, it's still a hack and slash, and the spells are more of 'summons.' However, the pride and joy of this is the perfect kills to cash system, which was found by someone, I forgot his/her name. But that's pretty much the highlights, which is even barely noticable, as the system isn't really part of the battle itself. Once again, the battles reminded me of the Open RPGs for some particular reason.

Originality: Mage? Check. Assassin? Check. Warrior? Check. Archer? Check. Generic storyline of a powerful being that wishes to destroy/take over the world? Check. King in distress? Check. Need I say more? Or is none of this familiar to you?

Complexity: Well, as soon as you started the game, you're in town, you see the inn, mercenary shop, and blacksmith. The only ones who wouldn't get this game are those who have just started SCing or playing SC RPGs. Otherwise, there's no learning curve at all.

A generic RPG whereas has somewhat of a potential, but needs alot more work before it shines through all the rest. Personally, I would rather play the Open RPGs than this. Once again, I shall say that you need to put more effort and work into this.

Battle System - 4/10
Originality - 2/10
Complexity - 1/10

Replay Value - 1/10
Fun Factor - 3/10
Difficulty - 5/10

K ... back here i played v1.3 and half way the game the kills to cash didnt worked anymore so i needed to do it with treasure and qeusts minerals. maybe fix that.
i killt the spider queen with 12 firebombs that i spawned and moved to spider queen from mana fountain.(not very good because fire bombs are to strong).
the end boss i finished with firebombs again. and friend used spell of ghost dont know what name it is. the probe unplaceable thingy is fixed:D.

still quite fun game:D

i love to see another rpg of you:D

Updated! (v1.4)

Changes:
♦Fixed a lot of bugs
♦Made the map larger (256x256), changing completely the game's geography
♦Made an introduction(skippable)
♦Made difficulty choosing(Easy, normal and hard)

i got really far in this rpg playing it for about 1.5 hours, then then the game crashed when I went to upgrade.

Oh, thanks for the glitch report smasher, though, i have no idea what would cause that crash, i will probably check when i run Windows XP -sigh-

About playing Starcraft, i will when i have the time, i'm making some php/mysql websites and the tools i use are installed in Linux, not counting how slow Windows is compared to Linux in my computer.

Anyway, i will log on from time to time, just not now.
