I personally dont think the size difference really matters. Whats a couple megs when it comes to quality. If it sounds better then use it, since this map is going to be a completely awesome project once finished it might as well have the best quality music along with it. I highly doubt anyone will really care about the slight increase in size.

Would you download it if it was a gig of wavs, Assumeing it was higher quilty of course.

Or what if the "couple of megs" increased the file size by 300%.

You shouldn't take the words high qulity to an obsession. If it sounds nice it is good. Most people don't have surround sound sterio systems hooked up to there computer and blast the sound during SC maps. I just feel many of your are interpreting this question to be.
"Hey should i use crappy sounds or good ones?"

This is why I made this poll. The question: is it worth the hard drive space to pump out a little more quality?

Well, how about this: what is the total difference in file size for each music track at the two quality settings? I listened to them both, but I can't really imagine that it would matter to me in the actual game either way, so the only real determining factor is DL convenience.

The full "burly brawl" track is exactly 352 seconds in length, and is 2.9 megs larger in size in high quality.
