I like a funky sound but one that isn't nessisarily funk.

First of all, it's thrash, not 'trash.' Second, there's no way in hell that St. Anger is thrash. Metallica stopped playing metal after 1988. System of a Down...no. Megadeth can be better classified as speed/thrash, as epitomized on Rust in Peace. Sepultura released three thrash classics (Bestial Devastation, Beneath the Remains, and Arise), Slayer have multiple classic thrash albums (Hell Awaits, Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss), and Overkill is undoubtedly thrash. They helped found the damn genre, and also have a number classic albums, Feel the Fire and Horrorscope being two of the best.

I can't think of a favorite song of theirs. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome, or Obvious, or Not Now, or Violance, or Stay Togehter for the Kids, or Another Girl Another Planet, or Felling This, or.....ya you get my point.

Plenty of stuff by NIN. Used to think that they suck, but they grow on me. Anything from "Pretty Hate Machine", and a few other songs. But currently, "Burn", "The Only Time", and "The Day the World Went Away" would be my favorites. And "The Fragile"

Pretty much anything by Nirvana, current favs are all apologies, dumb, in bloom, and about a girl (not as if their other -less popular- albums are bad, i just never really got a chance to listen to them. Floyd the Barber was a cool song though...)

A few old green day tracks, though Blvd. of Broken Dreams is like the only track that I like from American Idiot.

A lot of bands have those sorta like...1-track on the radio thing, and if they're popular they put a couple there and get their CD advertised at circuit city for 9 bucks. Most of the better ones are either not noticed, or their best songs are never really heard.
