Definantly touch.

My heighted 6th sense has me under the impression that I feel thnigs that aren't there, so I'd still be able to tell thnigs to a degree, jsut not hot from cold. (I can already barely feel cold and pain doesn't phase me.)

And if you heard a cry for help behind you, you'd just keep walking. It'd also be harder to order food, and you couldn't use the phone anymore.

I'm not that compassionate anyway. And I can always get someone else to order my food.

Lets see:

Pros of losing:
Sight: I can do pretty well moving with my eyes closed anyways.
Taste: Wouldn't really care, just can't taste food.
Smell: Can't smell skunks wink.gif
Touch: Can't feel pain, heat, cold.
Hearing: Deaf, wouldn't have to listen to other peoples crappy music.

Cons of losing:
Sight: No computer, driving, ect.
Taste: Can't taste any good foods.
Smell: If there's something bad to you that smells, you wont be able to tell if your near it.
Touch: Obvious, and you wouldn't be able to tell if your arm got ripped off.
Hearing: COuldn't hear my music.

I'd have to say smell, since I usually don't go near dangerous substances anyways.

Demaris, to tell you the truth, I have worse eyesight than you do. I have malnutritient, poor eye sight to begin with, uncontrollable urge to play game as long as i want, and genes. I will lose my eye sight within 5 years if i continue this... But ill still lose my 6th sense. There is no such thing as 6th sense. If there was, all it ever did for me was keep me living through hell of reality.

How the hell would you know that your eyesight is worse than mine?
Don't make assumptions.

Also, people only have three senses.
Sight
Touch/hearing
Smell/taste

Sight = input of photons
Touch = sensing otherthings by contact or vibrations
Smell/taste = Reactions based on chemical reactions.

As to people that say there is no sixth sense, that is just because you are taught to believe you don't have one.

I'd probly lose my "6th" sense. Why? I'm sometimes too paranoid. I would like to be less cautious.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow on 2006-01-23 at 02:38:38
If it weren't for the taste loss too, I'd choose smell, but since they're linked, I chose hearing.

Hahahahahaha! You're the only one that got that biggrin.gif

The reason you guys don't believe in the 6th sense, is because you've never seen it in action?

Ever had the feeling you're being watched? Ever had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen, and it did? Ever been able to just know something, that someone was thinking?

That's your 6th sense, people.

I would lose my taste... or sense of touch.

Taste why? I can now easily lower my blood pressure! Yay!

Touch why? Now I can go crazy without stopping! Yay!
Or do really good in boxing. Right? Well... now I need to learn how to actually hurt a person...

Why not sight? Obvious. I like to be alert. Little things can alert me.

Why not smell? I like to be knowledgeable of my surroundings. However I think I might wanna lose this. The smell of cigaretes want me to stab the person in the stomach with a giant sword, lift it out of their left shoulder, cut of their head, their right forearm, and their legs in that sequence. smile.gif

Why not hearing? I love to be alert of things.

Why not 6th sense? What is it anyways!?

I've had some precog moments recently in dreams. I dreamt my friend, who was supposed to have work for me that day, hadn't the work. Just last night, I dreamt it was snowing, and it did a bit today. It hasn't snowed here in months.

The Sixth sense also works for me. At times, visions come into my head, usually very minor ones containing scenes of everyday life, and at least 1 week later, it happens.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2006-01-25 at 17:34:47
The sixth sense works for everyone who is willing to listen to it.

The people who listen to their gut feelings, are the ones that listen to their sixth sense.

I'd say taste. Taste to me is more useless than the others espicialy now in the modern age. Technicaly all you taste is weather something is sweet, sour, bitter, or and i forget the last one. The rest of it is done with your nose.

I'd imagine those senses were more for when people lived in caves and they needed to know what to eat. And the six sense as far as I believe doesn't exist.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow on 2006-01-28 at 19:02:54
It's salty.

Beleive me, you like your taste, unless you eat styrofoam...

smell. i have no use for it.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by The_Crackhead on 2006-01-29 at 20:35:00
I'd choose Smell.

Why?

Touch: Listen people. If you did not feel pain/touch you would be dead within a week, due to your own actions. Pain is simply a warning to stop what you are doing or it will damage you. If you keep eating razor blades you will die, It's that simple.

Sound: Sound is 1337.

Sight: Why the hell would I lose sight?

Smell: You cant really use this for anything anyways. Besides, I have a Shazzle-load of alergic reactions with my nose all the time anyways. All it does is annoy me.

Taste: Also I considered this. I can lose weight whenever I want to, easy as hell! Yay lots!

6Th Sense: This is probably the best sense I have. It is sometimes overactive, But It is the most useful tool in the world. Usually whenever something substantially bad happens I have a gut feeling "Don't do this" before- It's just so small I don't notice it. Anyway this is a 1337 sense.

So yeah.

i was thinking one night and i said.... wow it would really suck if i lost my vision.... i would probolly kill myself because almost everything i do relys on it.

anyway usually taste and smell go hand in hand because they both use the similar receptors.

if you loose your sense of touch you loose your ability to feel your.... happy place crazy.gif

if you loose your hearing no music.

here comes the 6th sense! the 6th sense is usually portrayed as a sense that can feel danger before it happens. but it also can sense the paranormal such as ghosts and such. it ALSO is like a heightend intuition.

anyway whatever one you choose you loose a huge ability in life  cry.gif  so choose wisely and tell us why you choosed it.

if i were to loose one of my senses i would loose my sense of smell. bad smells dont smell good and good smells such as perfumes make me vomit. however i wont be able to smell gasoline if there was a leak in my house.... then i would either die of oxygen deprovation or a huge explosion.

I thought when you became blind, you gain a stronger 6th sense? The one you have now isn't strong enough for anything really. ooo and did you guys know there is a disese where you get all your senses mixed up? LIke you can taste red, i know it's weird.. but like Everything is messed up. I forget the name... but i will get it soon. (the name of course)

kellimus pointed out synestasia a couple times.

you dont gain a stronger 6th sense when you loose your sight. its just that when you cannot see it doesnt distract you so your other senses get stronger. go blindfolded for about an hour and you will be amazed :0

Ahem... Losing pain isnt a good thing, people. You could be dying and not even know it. (Soooo many different scenarios.)

Pain is an alarm system. Its there for a reason.

It works for me because I can't feel most things anyway. Plus I never leave my house. My bed is all bloody from me falling asleep bleeding so many times without realiseing it.

I associate smells with colors, but not vice-versa.

Sounds have smells, as well.

You would lose balance too, since you couldn't feel the liquids in your inner ear.
