If you use Valentines day as an excuse to get your partner a gift, you should give gifts more often. Get a girl flowers every so often (once every 1-2 weeks) or get her some jewelry.

dude. whoever didnt atleast get a chocolate bar is pathetic. i've got like 50 cards and all of them had something on it. gums, candy, chocolate, etc. girls love fat people. but iam not really fat. o_O

As much as I hate Valentine's Day for its blatant commercialism and overinflated prices (and importance), my girlfriend seemed to expect something, so I splashed out. I'd expect most people to at least make a token gesture like a single rose or something.
