No one has the right to kill themselves. It is moraly wrong ethicly wrong religoiusly wrong, and it is very sad and disappionting when someone kills themselves. Im Gnostic so killing yourself is your choice but think about this for a second. what will you accomplish by killing yourself? an eternity reflecting on why you did that and the agony of never being able to enjoy life, while you sit in hell.

Of course they have a right to kill themselves. We don’t live in Nazi Germany, You know?

they dont have a RIGHT buy they do have the choice, eaither way I still dont like the idea, your gonna die anyway so why not enjoy life first?

to some people suicide would be a right thing to do in certain situations. i agree though suicide it a dumb action to do...like your giving up on life because its not going your way or having too much to handle.

would it be ok to suicide if your knowing to die anyway, like you have an incurable critical disease(like cancer)...some people would be it would be ok to suicide or let them go in a good sense for them to not suffer anymore.

to the other post,the person is in bed on life support. unable to do anything by themself,paralyzed, and in pain and they'll stay like that until he dies, but still alive and breathing. to some people letting them not suffer anymore and just let them die.

Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. So therefore No.

but what about your parants & grand parents & close friends ?

What if your parents and grand parents are dead, and the reason you are committing suicide is because you're a total loser with no friends?

Rare cases?!?! If you commit suicide, thats what you want to do, personaly idk. But killing yourself is plain stupid - exept if your fighting the NVA and your screwed... then... Heck, why not... kill yourself...

how can you have the "power" to commit suicide if you have no "power" over your birth/not birth. it's like breaking some work of art & all that work taht has been put into it by someone else.

Every man has the right to do what they want to THEMSELVES. As long as it's not external, it's your life. Wether you want it or not.

Or, as some say... If you're gonig to kill yourself, don't do it in a messy manner.

If humanity still has the right to be stupid, then why not the right to commit suicide?
The only time that I would think that it's ok is if the person about to commit suicide
1. Has no family and no friends and doesn't want to starve to death which he/she knows will happen.
2. Will die in a painful way very soon and feels he/she might as will die in a less painful way.
3. Is an emo kid, because who needs them anyways? They are doing us a favor.
4. Has no idea what he/she is doing.
5. Is experiencing extreme pain and knows that it will be with him/her for a very long period of time.

a lot of people who try to commit suicide are actually just looking for attention and don't want to actually die. like someone said, girls who attempt suicide fail more than boys, that's because girls are so much more self concious then boys, and they always say they're fat and ugly and guys dont like them. when things like that go too far they end up trying to commit suicide but really for attention not to actually die. it's a cry for help.

for you guys saying it's not illegal to commit suicide but it's illegal to attempt suicide so therefore it is ok to commit suicide are wrong. first of all, you have to attempt suicide in order to do it, and second of all, just because there's no legal consequences for commiting suicide doesn't make it ok, that's like saying it's ok to suicide bomb but to attempt it is bad.

someone said that since you didn't choose to become alive so you shouldn't choose when you die is also wrong, because that would mean your parents have the right to kill you after you are born.

lastly, when you commit suicide or die for any reason that's your own fault like drugs not only do you hurt and devastate your friends and family, but if you have life insurance not a penny of it will reach your families pocket.

no, the parents have no right to kill, becawse all they did is have sex, but what if those spermatozoons didn't make it ? that is not in the power of the parents.

well if the parents didnt have sex then the sperm would never get into the womans body. either way, are you saying that the sperm that fertilized your egg should be able to decide if you die?

ofcourse not, lol. i mean that there are too much "if". ==> we have allmost no power over some things.
