You can do that most with a computer. Like I could say "A book" but then again enough time on the computer and you could get the text of the book illegally ^_^. I can survive without a computer it'd just be really boring, or more boring.

1) A nice hut that can stand up to natural events (not too big) with accomodations inside (stove, fridge, bed)
2) Fishing rod & bait. "Give a man a fish, he eats for one day, teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime"
3) My girlfriend.

If I could take a fourth, a book that changes into other books for my satisfaction.

a survival kit (knife, lighter, radio & much more)

I don't know about you guys but almost all of you are just plain joking. If I don't know that im going to get stranded, i'd bring, Clothes, Pocket Money, Water(two bottles)

If I know i'm going to get stranded, I'd bring

1.Tools(hammer,etc.) 'n Materials(wood, etc)
2.A large supply of water and food.
3.Clothes

milk is good for your bones, that will be put to a test if a tree falls on you.

1. A computer with the bestest internet in the world
2. Supplies to build multiple mansions
3. The population of my town, each bringing a share of necessities.

This is probably what everyone would take!

1. Laptop w/ Starcraft CD inside
2. Wireless Network
3. Hot Girl w/ food and drinks

1) An uber computer with uber internet and uber supply of games.
2) A supply of food and water and wood.
3) A mansion with electricity, a lot of wires, and furniture.

Well, think of it this way. You can't really do much when you are all alone. A computer is GREAT for multitasking, and entertainment, because you can do it alone. I'm sure they'd live, but it beats throwing a ball to yourself all day.

hmm… Is this island in the ocean/salt water, or in fresh water?

• A house that is pre-furnished with lots of decent things, has electricity, Sattelite TV, Hi-Speed Internet, Decent computer, and includes my cat.
  - Decent things because I don't need anything fancy.
  - Cable would not work that well. I don't watch much TV, but I doubt there would be any local programming in a deserted island.
  - Internet for communication and entertainment. Not really to survive, but I would get mighty bored.
  - Cat is great company.
• Food and water supplies.
  - Chickens are a good thing to have and breed. Eggs + Chicken is good
  - Several crops. Wheat, corn, jalapeños, and several spices. (<3 spices. Don't ask why, I just do.)
  - Milk cows. I am not a big milk fan; but I do cook things, and things need milk.
• Building materials and supplies.
  - Metal and things to cut and shape it.
  - Saws and tools.
  Need something? Just build it! I could find a way to make some sort of desalinization device for when I run out of water.

Would this desert island be in a place with other humans? or would it be total seclusion? would i remember the way life was beforehand? (ie, thoughts of like, "fark, i'm on some desert island, everyone i know replaced me")

If it was totally alone, I'd just bring food, some warm relaxing clothes, and maybe infinite sheets of paper and pens

If I had a chance of being rescued...I'd bring a hatchet. Comes in handy, chop some wood and start a signal fire with some flint, ya know? ;P

I'd probably want someone else with me, help out with stuff, and someone i enjoy spending time with...

Well if they would take the time off the computer to go get a girlfriend, then they wouldn't have to say their computer, now would they? Me, Don, and Beer sure dun need a computer on a desert island cause we are smart enough to take a girl/girls.

i don't think that somebody will grab his PC as the only thing that can save him when all of the sudden war starts & a battle begins in his town the same with this island stuff.

i think ppl say PC just cuz somebody started it/it seems like a joke/they think that the SEN community is a PC community, so you gotto take the PC to sit on SEN.

taking a PC with you instead of a useful item can be the biggest mistake in your life.

Repeating yourself is spam too. Not that replying to repeating yourself as the only thing in your post is any better. And you don't really have to point out to people when they spam or not there's a report button for that.

How would taking the person you love to die with you be any better? And plus most people on SEN are 15 and under so the don't have any huge relationships like other people. And I repeat again with a computer you can do a lot more things then other things. Yeah I guess if you want to be a jerk and make your girlfriend come with you and waste your life together dying then go right ahead.

Of course I'm assuming that everyone who put "my girl" isn't in a serious relationship, or in a very odd one. Since I don't remember any lovers for life refering to each other as "My girl, yo". Finally, get online kelli I have a lot of complaining to do and no one else is online!

I managed my girl to play Starcraft once, she hit Alt+F4 like 7 minutes afterwards
I'm not in a serious relantionship in which I plan on being with her for over a year. To me, at my age, it's all about having fun. I also know that she thinks that way. I find it a big loss to be majorly in love with somebody so that they dumb you. Almost all High School relationships never get through College, or the first year.

I also rarely refer or make mention of my girl at SEN. Why? Because there is no need to.

Severing human contact during a long period of time eventually leads to insanity, and no, a computer doesn't really count.

That's why I brought with me a PC, my girl and food. The PC is just going to be a hobby, she'll probably bring along a hobby of her's becuase we all know that you can't spen all your time giving attention to one person.

What i would bring hmm.

I would bring a cell phone.
And i would bring food.
And i would bring guns with ammo. [To kill any unwanted guests]

I would call somebody to bring me supplies to my island. And build a house, and live there. Then in my spare time i would play SC / shoot birds and fish.

EDIT: Why does everybody say ''My GF''? You can't possibly think spending ALL of your time with one person is going to be GOOD? Even if you're having sex which i doubt most of you little children have had/ will have soon, you'll just end up getting in a fight or extremely bored and then what? You're stuck with this annoying girl on an island, great you're screwed. See, i brought a gun so i can swim to all of your homosexual islands and shoot you all. Most high school relationships last like one 1 week - 1 month.

If you could get somebody to bring you supplies, why don't you get him to get you a free ticket off the island

Kellimus, I'm just not really that type of guy. Sure, I could easily spend all day with her, but when it comes to weeks or months, I just can't. One time a bunch of people got together and stayed on an island hotel and I brought her along. We stayed 6 days. On the fifth day, decided that I'd like a small break, and that I was going to go scuba with the guys and that she could go hangs out with her friends.
I also think that it's good because that's less chance for stupid fights and get to live life a bit more freely. I'm good with it, and she is too.

Because the rules said, you can't take along anything that will get you off the island. So i guess i'd be stuck there. Might as well have a phone to have some friends over when i'm bored.

You wana know hat would be funny. If someone brought in a shipload of uberized items to the island .

Now here is another idea i find more efficiant.

1. Bring a pizza store with stocked supplies. Besides it has everything people can deal with. Food/water/large pizza/electricity/shelter/a/c/ and a washroom

2.Bring a BOX with computer equipment/game systems and starcraft broodwar.

3. A protoss nexus. You can hire some probes to gather resources and pwn the whole place.
