Yeah. I'm making some software written in PHP. Its not a forum, its a content system which takes subsystems (the forum is a subsystem).
Think of it as a highly moddable script where everything is integrated and no user editing of files is required. Thats essentially what I'm making.
http://www.latova.com is the main site, which has not launched yet.
http://www.latova.com/alpha/ is the alpha version, but none of you can sign up because I've disabled registrations.
It'll be ready in may-june where latova.com will launch and the public beta will be free for anybody to download and try.
Oh yeah, it'll be free and paid. Overall the subsystems and kernel are completely free, but if you feel like supporting the project then you can buy a licence in which you'd get technical support from myself and you'd get major updates sooner than everyone else. I'm not really in this for money more than I wanted to create something like this. However the money will be needed to get a dedicated server and such to support the bandwidth of allowing people to download this kind of thing.
I'm really excited about it. I've been dying to get into something like this for a while. Staredit Network was my little playground for trying different administrator tatics, trying things out, and seeing what I could do. Since then I've made 2 other major systems out of PHP, and this is the first one where it'll actually be something I'll distribute.
