In addition to Moose's:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\bin\jusched.exe
^Checks for java updates, don't need on startup

O4 - Startup: Greetings Workshop Reminders.lnk = C:\Program Files\Greetings Workshop\GWREMIND.EXE
^ You really want to be reminded about somebody's birthday at the expense of resources?

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
^Windows messenger running at startup, as Moose said, it bites, so check it

That should make your start up even faster. But wow, that spyware is pretty sneaky.

I think we found the source, but we're just ignoring it till we can reformat the comp w/ XP Pro. We're prolly gonna use limited accounts on that with the admin accessable for installing etc just in case.

I still don't know where I got this =\

You can upload files that aren't media files on your iPod?

Damn, I didn't know that.(I currently have an iPod shuffle.)

And hell yeah, reformatting is awesome smile.gif

Yea, I use it as a portable hard drive.

If the IPod only accepted .mp3 files, you could rename .zip files to .mp3, and then back again when you transfer back to your PC. It's bound to work wink.gif.

You can use an iPod as a virtual hard drive.

@ Toa

That is my exact predicament.

I believe that iPods show up as a `USB Mass Storage Device' similar to digital cameras.

I don't think Spyware Doctor is free sad.gif

And I had trouble adding anything but media files to my iPod shuffle. I'll try later though

Are you adding it using iTunes?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Neiji on 2006-05-29 at 15:02:48
Don't reformat yet. Try this thing on wikipedia by searching "Vundo Remover"

Edit: Wait, dont search that. I'll try some other stuff cuz I know the procedure for removing this was on wikipedia.

I'm reformatting anyway. I have too much uneeded stuff on this computer and I just want to start new.

Well, I did try and add stuff through iTunes. It wouldn't show up in My Computer until I tried to put stuff on it through iTunes.

So what do I do?

You only use itunes for inserting music. Right click on your media device in itunes and select somethig along the lines of 'use as external hard drive' and it should show up in My Computer.
