I dont like firefox.  Why should i have to download a whole bunch of extensions just to get it to work normally....

I don't have any extensions...and mine works fine.

I like Fx for-

1.Themes
2.Less vulnerabilities *IE 6.x-91* *Fx 1.x-26*
3.I like the look, and the bookmarks.

There is the search engine bar, where adding a search engine is as easy as left clicking(For a lefty XD), you can remove certain buttons from the navigational bar, like back, or going back all the way, which I removed... The themes are nice, personal bars, and the panels are nice.. you're able to minimize tabs while having other tabs in the background.. A personal info wand, so when you need to fill out a registration, just click the wand and all the pre-stored info will fill up in the correct spaces..

A lot of stuff... it did take a while to get used to and customize, but most of my problems were self inflicted, I was using a Mac theme where the exit and minimize buttons were on the left, and I kept going there to shut it off >.<

That's interesting. Maybe I should take Opera for a spin.

Get Firefox

muahahaahahhahahahahahahahaahhahaa

I used to be like you until i tried ff (fx)

Opera is technically better than Firefox. But I prefer Firefox because of the way it feels. Opera doesn't feel right. As for IE, it might do what you want it to do, it's simply not as secure as either Firefox or Opera.

Good luck with opera deathhawk, for me it crashes about once an hour.

I downloaded it after I read that I can say it is terrible. It has an unreadable font in the menus for some reason, forces the pages to load too quickly, and the GUI crashes.

QUOTE(Deathawk @ Jul 24 2006, 06:56 PM)
You might want to try reinstalling then. A program wouldn't get this high publicity or sucess by being a buggy program that frequently crashes tongue.gif
Yeah, it's sort of hard to get used to, but very customizable.. tongue.gif

It isn't successful, of the main browsers it's by far the least used. tongue.gif

Yeah.

@Syphon.

It's all changable, mine is fine. Infact, the reason I started the change was because my Windowblonds made Firefox's drop down menu into white font, on a white background, making it unreadable.

There are skins for this stuff, it's not unreadable for me =\

It doesn't crash for me, so I guess you must be doing something wrong :\

Well.. considering it to be known nearly worldwide, I would say that is sucessful.

"Although it currently only has a small desktop usage share, Opera is the third most popular browser on Windows (it is also available on other platforms, including Linux and Mac OS)."

Let's not exaggerate. Windows is a solid-running OS. Easy to learn, and user friendly. But hey.. what OS are you using?

Windows has it's uses, it's a great home computer operating system, and that's the bulk of the computer buyers.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Demaris on 2006-07-25 at 01:15:52
Windows is the ONLY OS that will crash itself, if just left to run.

ADDITION:
I'd also like to add that the website you linked to doesn't say why the other browsers are better overall, it just lists specific arguments.

Well, if the browser is safer, faster, and has all the features that Firefox has, then there would be no need to...

"Opera was the first browser to include Pop-up Blocking in Opera 5 in 2000
Tabbed Browsing has been around a long time. Netcaptor offered Tab Browsing back in 1997. Opera developed it back in 1995 and added it in Opera 4 in 2000.
Opera (now 100% Ad free) is the fastest Graphical Web Browser in Windows. - Source
Reality - Opera is currently the most Secure Graphical Web Browser in Windows with 0 unpatched vulnerabilities. - Source"

Shouldn't that be enough to prove right there that Firefox is not as good as Opera?

Does that make an OS bad? I have ran my computer, with applications for over 11 days straight, and I don't crash... but the thing is.. why would you run it over 11 days straight.. There is a shutdown button for a reason.

I kept reading Opera as Op-e-rah in my head until I actually looked at it and realized it's Op-ra.

Anything connected to Oprah Winfrey is evil.

Of course, the maker of this topic wasn't arguing how Opera was better than Fx, but how IE wasn't as bad as people say, which I find that it is. Not too many people make viruses to go through 'holes' in Fx's security.

Oprah was talking about boobs yesterday. She talks about boobs a l ot.

If i remember correctly you have to install the flash plugin, shockwave player, and java runtime environment yourself. Plus IEtab for opening iepages and fasterfox just to get the browser to load pages as fast as its supposed to.

Well, first off.. with a Anti-Spyware and a firewall, it won't really matter..

Second, if you're visiting the right sites, you shouldn't have any of these problems...

You could find spyware and viruses on sites that you wouldn't expect them from. They don't all come from "the wrong sites".

You will not get spyware from trusty sites, and visiting sites that would give you spyware make them bad sites. =\

Yes I do use e-mail. But only for stuff like registrations on sites like SEN.
