SEN hacked? I am actually not surprised at all. When syndicate first hacked the website, it was some vunerability due to the test account for cpanel and the such, something I didn't know much about. I actually take security very seriously and I would always upgrade the board software.
However, IPB soon stopped offering their invision 2.0 for free, so I was left to fix security holes myself. I would simply go to
http://secunia.com/product/3705/ and get vunerability reports so I could fix them - even before invision released a patch for their paying customers. Unfortunately, when I left, so did the vunerability fixes. I warned IP and moose at one point that they needed to continue what I had started, they however, did not do so as I checked a few months ago. I felt it was not in my interest to interfere since it was not my website anymore.
So basically, all anybody had to do was go to
http://secunia.com/product/3705/ and look up a recent critical vunerability and do it. The reason I never said this publically was because I didn't want to be responsible when someone actually decided to do it because I mentioned it.
As for latova being hacked, I doubt it anytime soon. Latova isn't a release software yet so nobody knows the source quite yet, the only hole I could see is with the server, and as far as I know nethack manages that well.
