At first they wouldn't work, but after SCMLoader has the updated offsets they should work again without needing to update the maps.  Because of SCMLoader's update notifications, everyone who has SCMLoader could be notified of the SCMLoader update when they run SCMLoader after the update is available (depending on whether they disabled this feature or not).

ADDITION:
The alternate patcher for running SCMLoader in WINE on Linux is now complete. SCMLoader no longer needs to be placed in the same directory as Starcraft when running in WINE and the scmloader.sh shell script is no longer required since SCMLoader automatically detects that it is running in WINE.

The SCMLoader beta download has been updated with the new version.

Heh, if you are using Windows, just ignore that part. That only has to do with running Starcraft on PCs that are not running Windows. All you really need to know is that it works. smile.gif

Is SCMLoader imbedded into the map files so that anyone who downloads the map would be able to experience the changes, or do they need to acquire an external version of SCMLoader?

If imbedded, I will probably be interested in creating a few STF Lite maps that can be played and distributed over BattleNet for everyone to play. It would probably be one of the most effective advertising tools for SC modmakers if done right. The only limitation would be a need to keep the filesize small, as people tend to be impatient.

SCMLoader is a separate program that Starcraft needs to be launched through. The mods embedded in the map only take effect when SCMLoader is running.

For maps utilizing this program it is at least possible to tell the user of the map that SCMLoader is required and give the URL for my web page. This is possible by using mods that are detectable through triggers.

The SCMLoader beta's FireGraft data file has been updated with the newer 114a.fgd from FireGraft 0.87. This allows using the new EXE edits that were added in that version.
