About your story, its kinda unoriginal (coughresurectioncough) but yeh, i think there will be xeno reaserach, so ill probally use that laptop idea too

1. First off, Ghosts don't have range upgrades. Second, hero Ghosts actually have shorter range than regular Ghosts.

2. Here are your triggers (might be a bit buggy). I'm only gonna do the one for Player 1, I'm gonna use the Pulse Rifle for this example, and Player 8 is the Xenomorph player. Hyper triggers may be needed.

PLAYERS
- Player 1
CONDITIONS
- Always.
ACTIONS
- Center location labeled 'Motion Tracker' on Pulse Rifle owned by Current Player at 'Anywhere'.
- Preserve trigger.

PLAYERS
- Player 1
CONDITIONS

- Player 8 brings at least 1 men to 'Motion Tracker'.
ACTIONS
- Play 'MotionTracker.wav'. [Note: The file name may be different for you.]
- Wait X milliseconds. [Note: I don't know how long the wait should be.]

There's your Motion Tracker for you.

As for the story, I haven't seen Alien: Resurrection, so I can't comment on that. However, it's good that you're using the laptop idea.

With the motion tracker iw as thinkin more of like sight, mayeb somethign to do with minimap pings?

I used minimap pings with my motion tracker, it's easy to set up, also you might want several locations for aliens to go on, the smaller the location the alien is on the louder the beep.

Im still working those out, right now, they kill you. But what i had planned was the marine becomes infested, you spend 5 mins or so are a marine. Then, a chestbruster apears, and how have to find some food (there will be animal cages and morgues all over the map) Then you turn into a drone,a nd then have to kill the marines

You will be able to upgrade to btw

EDIT: forgot to mension Exosuits and ATVs will be inculded smile.gif

Heres my suggestion, even though you wont do it: Whenever you have aliens spawn out of nowhere, try using overlords as transports to drop them down and create. Even though you can predict them, it would get you exited or a little bit of time to say "Oh censored.gif " before they drop; plus the addition of originality.

Just create new aliens burrowed near creep colonys so it looks like they were imbedded in the structure, as in Aliens.

There was an expeiramental weapons suit, called the MAX
the thing can damn near kill the pilot if its used too much/too long, even if the pilot had undertook some preparations such as inserting a port for the MAX suit to connect with the central nerve system (or part of it, ie. Back of the neck).
I would immagine it would best fit the goliath.
In the book, it had a machine gun, and a flame thrower..
the flame thrower, you could somehow put in as a spec ability, the MG well is its main wep.
I dont think you have any air units for the aliens, so it might fit in pretty well.

and there is a company rivaling Weyland/Yutani which i think its called bio-lab or something along those lines...

I did scrap my avp map for the time being (the one based off the movie).
(but i am working on one in the desert tileset, it is just in the stage where im putting in all the terrain, i used about 2/3 of the map...)

The firebat could have a Gernade for its specail ability, in an army men map, the firebats spec ability is a gernade, and the gernade is a scourge that automatically flys towards an enemy, and doesnt move at all and then explodes, at the same time creating/killing a devourer.

Your map seems to be coming along pretty well fromthe screen shots etc etc.

Anyways, map progress, most implemneted abilities work, still tweaking osme bugs, but ill get there, ill add some screens later and maybe a demo later in the week

You really should have started the map with all roof terrain, it's much easier to carve than add.

I Just have one thing to say about the swear words censored.gif and damn are fine but maybe not Fu*k. Also if you dont have the hack tool you could make a minigame (like a bound cause there easy) that would be cool. Overall the game sounds awsome!

Edit: Call It the proximity alarm cause i dosen't track motion. Also for the firebat special attack make a big explosion around the firebat (like 4 bcs) and lower all units in blast radius to 50% health.

Halo: Im trying to keep close to the AVP universe so ill keep it as motion tacker, plus aliens will mostly always be moving.

As for the swares, If you saw a room full of mutilated bodies and then a swarm of aliens came at you, what would you say?
