i think youre supposed to use the one posted earlier by Xeno, when your working on it post I HAVE THE MAP or something like that, and after your done edit your post, that way they know youre working on it.

K. I've thought of the ultimate Halloween RPG map idea: House of the Dead! It'll be a 2 player map (just like the real game(s) using my THD gunner system to shoot zombies that charge at you (with reloading) as you enter each new area (which'll occur automatically via Order->Move triggers).
I'll make the basic triggers for it, and then you guys get the fun part of decorating the map, placing monsters (players 3-8 represent various stages of monster HP, similar to what I did in THD), making scenes, etc.

Ok fine I'll make it 3 players. Any more and there won't be enough comp slots for a the HP system. And don't worry, I'll just make the basic triggers for the shooting system. There'll be plenty of stuff for the rest of j00.

I'm almost done with it, so I'll post it within an hour. Here's what I'll add/change:
- Player forces and slots (3 humans, 1 good comp, 4 bad comps)
- Existing intro sequence (only a little)
- Create player units (defilers)
- Create triggers for gunner system (relatively simple)
- Create triggers for reloading gunners (burrow-activated!)
Monster placing, terrain, sequences, and everything else I'll leave to you guys.

Sound good. How do you do the defiler/dark swarm activation thing? Starforge?
I can make a gunner system in 1 trigger. Problem is, there won't be any shot distinguishing system (as in, won't be able to tell whose shot it is). Reloading will simply be refreshing your defiler's energy, and each swarm costs 50 to cast.
ADDITION: Ok I have it! I took out a few of the sounds since they were just wasting space for the time being, but otherwise it's roughly the same map only with gunner triggers and a few "monsters" to demonstrate how the gunner system will work.
Since I'm not at my home comp I don't have that good old reload sound to use for the reload, so if anyone wants they can add their own or wait and I'll put it in myself whenever I get the chance (just add the Play wav. action to the trigger labeled " Reload" under the Task Force player force). Also, the gunshot exploding effect (an exploding cloud) makes an unplacable error if the swarm is cast over invalid terrain, so you might need to replace it with a flyer unit like a wraith or something. I did it that way since flags dont make a sound when the explode, whereas wraiths do, but you decide which is more worthwhile.

P.S. The map will say "Cannot save" if you try to save it with staredit/scxe. Ignore that. It actually does save (check the "Date modified" time for proof), but if it becomes too intolerable then one way I know to fix it is to re-save the map with GUEdit or else save the map as a CHK file only and then reopen in staredit, reimport all the sound files, and resave as a normal .scx. Those are the two methods I know of to fix that problem.

Play it first to see what's already there. I just realized you'll need to change the map title and add a description and briefing at some point. No hurry though (how long to halloween?)

I'd work on it, but I'd rather work with a traditional, newby, "Attack-move to fight" system, rather than Tux's Defiler system.
I mean, Defiler system's cool and all, but it gets old when it's used for 50 dif maps, and it requires some other stuff.
I was planning on adding someone that pretends to be a nomal guy, giving out candy, except you get sucked into his house and he sends his demonic Jack-o-Lanterns at you, and you have to fight them off.

MWHAHAH, now I get to see how tux did his defoler system thing, Do you mind if I use the DS system for an action packed ending to my map?
