Teachers need to get way more money for their jobs. It's such a hard job needing to deal with kids that are acting stupid to get attention, rebellious kids etc However there are teachers that don't even deserve money for teaching! Like my grade 7 teacher...he was stupid. Really stupid. He taught us math once and then we were all confused. You know why? It wasn't because we were stupid, it was because he taught us wrong. After recess, he comes inthe class and goes "Sorry about that, forget everything I said before recess. I verified with another teacher." It wasn't just this time he got stuff wrong he had alot of other things wrong. So many dumb stuff he did I want to post it but too lazy to type

Hmm...it's hard to draw the line. I go to a private school - my parents couldn't stand the constant strikes in the Ontario school system that disrupts school for most years. But I think this applies to both system - there are both bad and good teachers. How do you tell the difference between them?
It's not how much time they spend after school to help students in need - my current chemistry teacher is one of my best teachers ever. He explains everything very well, and almost nobdy has needed to talk to him for extra help (except a poor kid who missed one of the really important classes).
I have a teacher who is very nice. He spends hours after school everyday, and come in early to help other students. I like him as a person, but he is a horrid teacher. He can't teach at all - I personally learned everything from the course from Google.
But should one of them deserve more salary? And where do we draw the line? I guess the better a teacher is, the more they should be paid, right? But what makes a good teacher? How much time they put towards students? How well they teach? Or maybe how well liked they are? How do we determine who should have more salary than others?
American Teachers are paid very low salarys, i know the point has been broughten up earlier about people such as firefighters and police and the national heros of countrys not being paid enough. Im going to have to agree with that, and what i dont understand is why do people who enjoy what they do (football players hockey plyaers ect) ask for millions of dollers where people who like what they do but risk their lives (police, firefighters ect) get paid jack crap...
The people who actually make a difference in the country should be paid a higher wage oppsed to those who just play a sport.

American teachers do not get paid enough. The teachers in and around my town strike constantly. Sure, it was fun to have no school at first, but it sucks to have to make it up during summer. A good idea would be to cut a lot out of the salaries of proffesional athletes and give that money to teachers and national heroes.
A warmup to "eye for an eye":
You may think the eye for an eye system is oudated and cruel, but it has taken on a less brutal and more modern form. In the modern world, if someone calls you a name, you insult them back, if someone hits you, you hit them back. These are all eye for an eye. There are many other common ways eye for an eye is used.
The eye for an eye system should be brought back to instill order. I don't mean the old overpunishing way that if you hit someone, they cut off your hand. I mean, If someone hits you in the face, you or a strong teacher (your choice) get to hit them really hard in the face. If someone kicks you in the nuts, you get to kick them back as soon as you are feeling better. People who call someone a name get cracked on during the morning announcements. If someone humiliates someone purposefully, the get publically humiliated. This would stop almost all problems in school.
The "You are innocent until proven guilty" thing should be applied to schools. People are often framed or told on for doing something that they didn't and get unjustly punished. There should be more use of school cameras to prove whether someone did or started something.
The way society works:
1. Harsh punishments and strict laws instill fear.
2. Fear keeps the crime rate low, because no one wants to get a huge fee, jail time, and 6 months to 1 year public service for littering or J-walking.
3. Both of these ensure a savage but strict order.
well, teachers more than deserve a higher salary, but they ain't gonna get it! the government would never consider a pay raise! but we should cut the salaries of athletes, cuz wtf do they do that is so important?
Id like to point out that some teachers in my school make 70,000 a year and they start from 45k. Doesnt sound to bad to me.
"I think the students should decide how much they get payed, by how well the students think the teacher teaches and how nice they are. I only truely like about 2-3 teachers in my school, all males. My experience with female teachers has always been a bad one."
The problem with that is...
Student Group A(500 kids): All these teachers suck, except this one that doesn't do

and lets us just sit there and sleep...
Student Group B(500 kids): All these teachers suck, except this one that doesn't do

and lets us just sit there and sleep...
Student Group C(5 kids): Most of these teachers are crap, but these few actualy teaches us...
i dont kno how much teachers get paid in the first place.. anyways most teachers are boring so they dont help students learn that much.. teachers that have been effective should be payed more or could be a tutor in sylvan learning or whatever

thats quite dumb..what if the teacher wanted more pay and told the students the answers...or purposely raise the child's grades
According to the teachers, no.
I think that teachers definitly need a bigger salary. I mean these are the people that we trust with our kids. We trust them to instill the morality of a productive citizen into them, to help them, to walk them step by step from toddler to young adults. Not only are they the ones who teach us math, science, history, and english, but our some of our major role models that we see in our most adaptive changing state we call the teenage years. So why don't they get paid more. If any of these fail, if a kid doesnt perform to societies standards, a parent sure wont look at themselves. No, they learned it at school, those teachers should have taught them that! Yes, they get a summer, but how much can they enjoy with a salary like theirs. No incentive for a job like that...thank god some people on this earth do it for the kids.
