I was wondering if anyone else was going to pick up on that. Homosextuals have there gay porn, I wouldn't know but i would assume it is just as bad with popups. You also have FEMALES. I'm alot less of them viset the porn sites your talking about, that doesn't make them homosextual.

The reason why people don't use firefox is because they are afraid they are installing something bad. Rest Assured people! If Bolt_Head uses firefox, it's defeintly something good .

dude the people that use IE could be adults. How would you know if the people on IE arent perverted guys. they could be woman, kids, or even workers. therefore even tho this is a joke, it is 100% wrong.

Well you can get spyware other ways also. Some sites you go to just give you spyware for no reason. So keep the kids away or they might go to some stupid site that installs spyware.

I use Firefox.
A) It's faster than IE or Netscapre for me, and by a LOT.
B) I haven't had a single pop-up since the minute I've dled FireFox
C) My FireFox NEVER does anything that I dislike without my permission.
IE automaticaly sets itself to default, even when supposedly FIREFOX is and IE is NOT... Which gets horribly frustrating. While as FireFox submits to my every command and whim.
D) Cookies. I can control who to get cookies from. I know(or atleast think) you can do that with IE too, but I don't care.
E) Microshaft. IE is a Winblows Microshaft program. Screw that.
F) Tabs. Tabs own. Having 20 windows open and having to click on my taskbar just to switch between pages and close tabs and read what page that happens to be on plain SUCKS BALLS.
G) Teh lookz. FireFox looks better than IE.
H) Built in crap. Unlike IE, to not get viruses etc, I don't need to dl 20 dif programs.
I) Google search right on the top right. I prefer Yahoo, but, hey, it works.

I simply don't look at porn
pfft.

IE = slow.
Firefox = fast.

Well, lets see. If you use Inernet Explorer, the best pop-up blocker is Smiley Central.
Also, everyone who says IE lets viruses in is complete and total bull . I've used IE all my life (Except for right now where my diminishing system specs have called for less) and have gotten ONE virus. And that was from Kazaa anyways. It's probably because you never download security patches and let them through.
I've tried firefox, I hated it. I like IE alot better.

Firefox does have some features IE doesn't have. I tried download a few things and instead of playing it it downloaded it to my HD. IE will do that and play it in the browser.
And no matter how much I hate Microsoft for making tier windows every time, I'd still trust them more than a third party company.
Also, the more popular browser is targeted more often. FIrefox gets popular, BAM! People who use it start getting raped with viruses and hackers.
Also, downloading Mozilla and FIrefox and then installing it and all that , doesn't that take about as much time and probably even more space than installing a toolbar that can do everything it can do?
And people who go around making stupid topics like this have way too much time on their hands and probably have no life. :/

And just so you know, IE uses Active X controls, which are the most notorius for ing up your comp and Firefox doesnt, so even if people "target" firefox doesnt mean it will be as succeptable as IE and it's Active X.

Um... turn off active X controls? There is an option ya know. If you are so damn paranoid about viruses and etc, just turn your browser's security settings to extremely high so all cookies are blocked (meaning you can't use this site and many others) and you get a pop up or ten every page because it wants special permissions.

See... firefox is also OPEN SOURCE. Yeah, you think that might be such a positive thing... but anyone who wants to find ways to exploit firefox users already has the code laid out for them.

Now, I'd admit some pages load faster than IE... however, I tried doing my godly admin stuff with firefox yesterday and omg, it sucks for phpmyadmin. One, it just loads it extremely slow, IE is faster. Two, because I usually have a seperate sql query window affecting the main window, I get errors like "document contains no data".... which is just bs. Don't like popups? Well... what if the browser itself was creating the stupid popups. Next thing that pissed me off was it's weak searching ability. I love how you can push a button to go to the next occurance, but it can't search between two frames and obviously can't search within input boxxes like the one I'm writting in. Uber gay.

Yeah... you get the page faster with firefox, but most of the time, it isn't done loading it when you first see it. When IE is done loading, it's truely done loading. Firefox seems to hate sen topics that are full of images like creative works.

I like integration. See, in a IE window, if I type in C:, I get my normal folder view. If I type it in firefox, I get it as if I was looking at another server's hosted directory. It's just all too nice when programs can play with each other. If EVERYONE used windows and IE and etc... I'd have to wonder what kind of super OS could be made...


Yeah... they'll need to start doing that with firefox otherwise they'll end up getting a virus and get emotionally hurt. Firewalls, anti viruses, everything can't help you if you don't download security patches.

I've never got a virus from simply being on IE either... and when you search for crackz/serialz on the web, you are doomed to get like 15 porn pop ups and have to go through tons of pages with porn images all over them. It's not like I never got a virus because I'm living in some super shelled environment that couldn't possibly pose a risk.

My dad is a computer security specialist. He says that firefox is safer than IE. It might be the fact that you can controll what goes by or what you download... idk but IE itself it not going to hurt your computer.

When i installed Firefox, it had the 'no features included' if you want to say that, but i went on that for several months and i was satisfied. More recently, i have put a skin on it.

A good firewall helps too. Not just the built in windows firewall but an extra one. Trend Micro is a good firewall, idk if it is free though. =\

IE Users are at a higher risk for viruses mostly because since a lot of people use it, hackers make viruses for THAT rather than a browser that not that many people use.
