The resolution is too low. Get it higher and it should look good. The Black part, its beacon the view views a out bound thing. turn it a little more to the left and it should be ok.

ADDITION:
And for the 3rd time: HOW do YOU do WATER??!!!!! ranting.gif

Ok, there should be a bar with a load of icons on it. One of them looks like the sea. Click on it and it will bring up a control panel where you can set the water level. Keep making it higher until it appears on the minimap. Then press 'Update Maps.'

Then render the scene as normal.

My latest addition: I like the water on this one.

Info on adding surface colours - it's in the Terrain control panel, under surface maps.

That nice CaptainWill.

I am still learning on how to use the program.

I made this weird planet thing but it was very pixlized...

You need to set the render quality/detail up. Or make your surface maps for the terrain more realistic - it can look like plastic if you don't do it right. tongue.gif

Try the 3D preview mode and then move around using the arrow keys, it will let you position the camera while seeing what you'll see if you rendered it like that.

I think holding shift or alt or control when pressing the arrow keys lets you 'slide' or move slower in that 3D mode.
