Well, at least the screenshots sort of resemble a monopoly board. I hope the map turns out to work right.
Is there a date we can be looking for when it will be completed?
ZeA: I started this with D_Scypher. He and I are friends outside of SC, and he just got busy with a lot of other work so I was left alone with the project. Then Legacy came along and was really adamant about finishing this, so he took Scypher's position.
Fortune: We have no date set. It all depends on our respective schedules and work loads. Legacy has Monopoly on the backburners as he works on other maps, and I'm just waiting for his more efficient trigger system. In the meantime, I've got other maps I can work on as well.
Well you had better get crackin'. We have waited long enough!

Its sad to think that I posted this topic on March 3rd, and now all the progress that was made will be redone because more efficient ways of doing the triggers have come about. So basically all that time and anticipation was for nothing.

Yeah. Plus now that I think about it, I'll be swamped with a bunch of Academic Decathlon crap for awhile so it seems best that I don't worry about working on this large project right now.
I will keep the topic open though, in case something new happens or any new ideas come up. And as always, we're open to suggestions.

That's up to Legacy. When he's satisfied with an easier way to do my clunky triggers, progress will be made.

Not sure if it's been said before (Too lazy to read 15 pages), for the colors on the board (Ex: the starting places you can buy are purple, and the ending [Boardwalk] are Blue), you can try using Extended Players who's minimap color is similar to the real colors in Monopoly.
We used actual tiles on the terrain to show those colors already.
I know, I saw the screenshots. They just seem so similar. With the extended units you could have them more distinctly different.
Anyways, it was just a suggestion. Take it or leave it. My friend was working on a Monopoly map (Before I told him about yours) and he used this method, making it look a lot more 'lively.'
I think its just because my screenshots suck. In the game, they look fine.
I suppose we can do it that way, but in the very end after everything else is done. I'm on a Mac and it would reset otherwise.
Okay so now that we have yet another person making a Monopoly map, I want to finihs this one. Legacy wants to redo all my triggers, so that's why he doesn't want to work on it now. But my triggers do work (they're just a bitch to copy over and over) so if he still doesn't want to work on it now, I'll just go ahead and work on it myself. This map started off great, and I plan to finish it.

If I can get ahold of (U)Bolt_Head who told me he would tell me how to do efficient properties triggers, I can make a template for the properties and copy and pasting should be pretty simple

Yeah, my triggers weren't as efficient as I thought. And they're too bulky.
Wow u are getting alot of posts! anyway i just want to ask if there will be any type of combat? like put a corner where you can fight and have a mini deathmatch so that you dont get bored to tears and quit!
Monopoly is not about fighting, if you get bored, well then you just get bored.
