Hmmm, it's not good for them that their test Taepodong-2 missile only lasted 30-45 seconds before falling into the sea.

It shows that they are not prepared enough.
Guilt might work in here.
Terrorist strikes and kills lets say 600...
The public would probably have a backlash against the current government for not doing enough....
You are in the Government, wouldn't you feel like you could have done more to prevent this?
I would attempt to find a comprimise that the public will accept. And if a terrorist kills 600 people, I tighten it a little. But I ask the PEOPLE how far I should go.

Somehow, I don't think their goal is to hit the United States with a Taepodong-2.
The missiles are a ploy for attention because they're impovershed and starving, not a serious attempt to start a war. They want to be taken seriously in negotiations, so they try to make themselves viewed as a threat.QUOTE(HolySin @ Jun 12 2006, 06:11 PM)
I'm sure that many of you have heard about it already, but for those who havn't, the mosquito ringtone is a ringtone that adults are unable to hear, but teens can. It's a high frequency ring. In fact, it can be found
here. Should this be allowed in school? This means that kids can text to friends without teachers noticing.
Personally, I'm split on this one. Suppose somebody has a genuine possibility of there being an emergency and needs an able source of communication without disrupting class. However, I believe teens will take advantage of this ringtone and not pay attention in class.

That is really awesome, my parents couldn't hear it at all.

Yeah, my mom could hear that easily.. don't see what they mean by "adults can't hear it"..
Maybe it's because I have $7 speakers and the frequency is dropped slightly due to their lack of range...Then it would be a pretty F@#$ed up book.
What if Mini Moose was a overweight 99 year old woman?
I'd barf.
What if this topic died and Wilhelm made it again?

Do you know why its called that? Because you 'tap' it and it goes "DONG"!!! hahahaha. Get it? because it exploded? Oh nevermind.
I think that joke basically sums up how I feel. I'm out.
Then he would get annoying
What if sen was a nudist society?
Its annoying as hell, who'd want one anyways? And why do they not want adults to hear it, are they seriously going to answer their phone mid-lecture? Just do what everyone else does; set it on silent and check at the end of class.
Connections and Politics has been drilled into our brains from day one. You know, 'don't play with that guy, he's bad' therefore to get on mommy's good side you'd avoid him except on the sly, and even then kept it hush hush. Its human nature to build connections and the need for thus. Connections are very crucial, but I doubt people will get anywhere without knowing a few things otherwise.
Nice idea, Doodan. It would be really cool if you saved the replay of all those games that were played in this tournament once it's over (is it over yet? I hope not O.o') and showed it to the SEN Community.
NOTE: Am I late on this comment? I just thought of the idea o.o;'
What? I didn't understand this one bit. Can someone explain it to me in a simpler term?
QUOTE(7-7 @ Jul 5 2006, 12:29 AM)
Government not involved, either you made this up or New Yorkers have the minds of 3 year olds, because if the government wanted to get rid of the world trade centers I think they would just evacuate the area and use explosives like any other building, and possibly lift pieces off with helicopters due to surrounding builings. There would be no reason to have people run planes into it!

And what would be the point of that if they don't get their springboard for American world supremacy out of it? The point wasn't to just destroy the buildings, it was to make the whole thing look like an attack, thus providing a handy pretext to invade Iraq, perform wiretaps, and espouse all the "anti-terrorist" rhetoric. If you don't support the war on terror, you're anti-American! You're a traitor, an outcast.

ing imaginary threat to your local security, that's all it ever was and all it will ever be.
thats another good question... wht r u gona do? Hide under the desk, red2blue basically covered it all, vibrate is better because most adults can hear that sound. Healthy or not... Maybe u can fool somebody thats like 60 years old or more, but the sound is preety hearable
Yeah their are lots of conpiracies of 9/11. How bush planned it, that thier was no plane that hit the pentagon. It's just so sketchy, i'm so tired of government. I just wish nothing happen.
The effect would be greater and more lively if it rained...rain, darn it!
Anyway...I saw what happened...on television in 2000, and I thought it was a movie..I didn't think about it much, and I forgot about it eventually.
And I agree it's a cover-up..the Goverment decides Iraq has Nuclear Weapons and theres' no proof, and if the Goverment does invade Iraq and there's no weapons, the war would be for nothing and everyone would go against the Goverment. So, 9/11 was just a reason to invade Iraq, and everything else..doesn't make sense. Why would anyone want to agree to hi-jack three planes and attack the Twin Towers? Destroy all that hard work? Sure, the Goverment may have that crazy idea, but...I don't see why anyone would want to commit suicide just to...to...allow Bush and his crazy suspicions with no proof to start a war.
................
Rumor: Someone was happy about 9/11; dancing around the streets yelling 'WHOO-HOO!'.
For the record, if we did shoot a missile down, it wouldn't have a nuclear reaction because of the complexity of the detonation mechanism. I can't really explain why the warhead wouldn't detonate, but I read that somewhere. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge could point out a source?
The Uranium has to be heated before it explodes. A Plutonium bomb has many mechanisms. If you know about uranium characteristics, they heat up very fast and very high. But that causes the unstable radioactive material at some point blow up with a high energy released, and you can actually see a unsustained fusion core inside a nuclear bomb. But I guess if you're that close, you'll be dead anyways.
If smoehow the missile failed, they wouldn't want a warhead blowing up their ports and nearby towns and city.

Replays of Binary games malfunction. I'd love to show the replay pack (like Moose does for his tourneys), but I can't.
ADDITION:
The tourney's off! Go home!
Ha! Now that would be funny (well not funny, but ironic) to have the only headlines be "Nuclear explosion rocks Pyongyang. Faulty Taepodong-2 engine to blame."
The Taepodong-2's and other launched missiles are not carrying warheads, you know.
Oh you know it
the person below me is in clan MC
my teacher says that the missile is just to grab attention so they can get food and stuff like a bribe because the country is suffering from starvation
do any of you think this is true?
