This karma stuff is going to turn into a trading game...

EDIT:Oh and is there a Top 10 Karma people yet?..Like Richest SEN Members?

It wont be a trading game, because the higher your karma is, the faster it will "decay" (some gets removed every 3 days if you're above 50 or something). Which means, you're going to have to find more people to "trade" with, and eventually, someone will report you. Isn't it so much eaiser just to earn karma by having a good reputation then to go through all the trouble, just to find it all gets removed later?

Proxies + multiple accounts, anyone?
Once you add the subtract I think it would be better if the Give and Subtract links or whatever were a [+] and a [-] or something like that.

It takes a lot of time to do proxies and multipule accounts, which brings up the problem of decay again. You'd have to register a LOT of accounts, and login to each one each week just to keep your rep up. You could never get it too high, it'd take too much time.

Proxies takes barely any time at all, but multiple accounts would take a while. At any rate, good job on adding new features, etc. even if I can't stop wanting to abuse things.

I just thought of an idea for karma, maybe make it so that people who are banned can get karma also, and if they get like 100 or something they can get unbanned/suspended or something. So people can kind of vote if someone was unjustly banned. wink.gif
Veto mania!

Plus, the fact that I don't know who gave me karma make its all better. I can't actually favour someone more or less if I don't know who gave it. (I'm gonna make a rule against telling someone you gave them karma a bit later).

ARGH!! Darnit!! I've been doing *gives karma for a bit... oh well... time for happy editing! biggrin.gif

Of course the system will get abused, but the 1 week thing keeps your friends from raising you as fast. smile.gif

true.
its kinda hard to abuse right now. and whats the point of abusing it? i means if you got 1000 and no one likes you...they know youre a cheater! (or multi...etc.)

Sorry for not reading the last 40 posts, but, I have also noticed that regersterd members will have "karma" under their names - even though you can't give any karma to them.

Well let's think about it. Why would you give out Karma?

They say something intelligent in a serious discussion forum, or they manage to carry on the conversation without spamming, flamming, or trolling. Perhaps give a newbie a point for making a good first post, or just for being around.

In the maps help section they actually leave a helpful post. Detailed instructions, alternatives, etc.

In the maps showcase they don't say "OMG THIS IS SO COOL!" or "OMG YOU SUCK." They would say "nice idea, nice layout, but there is a glitch here and here."
They beta test something for you well without whorring karma/ minerals out it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice guesture to give your friends points for being around but you know, that's not all you should use them on.

You would gice out Karma because you were messaged by someone saying that they gave you karma. I'm fairly sure this has already happened.

If it is reported, the person in question will lose much karma. Someone will notice eventually, because im going to put decay on soon.
