Most people give up because it turns into mostly work and not fun. If they know that it is extremely difficult to create, then its probably hard to understand how to play, making it not fun to players. Meaning, it makes it a waste of time to make a decent sc rpg if people don't seem to understand.

yea thats true. you try making a good game with new ideas but then its hard for the ppl to play because some ppl out there are just so stupid and cant understand. and they say your map sucks and aint fun. thats why we cant advance. complicated games ppl cant play

Heres what you TRY to do... Start your RPG and if you dont like the direction it is taking gameplay wise or w/e give up on it and start again or just try another idea. Most of my map Ideas are scratched because the gameplay jsut doesn't feel the way I wanted it to... Right now my RPG im working on I have not told practicaly anyone because it might be scraped again...

I redid terrain for the same rpg completely 2 times already... I keep striving to get triggers done, which ensures some flexability but initiates progress...
