Its taking over the world. No kidding. Im serious. I could imagine Google ads all over huge billboards in New York and other huge places, and the next thing you know, its practically the ruler of the world.

They started small, and in a few years theyre the hugest thing on the internet.

Is it their fault they have a simple and easy to use search engine? o_O

that would suck and be kinda cool if there was a company war where a bunch of different companies use the internet for massive spamming to try and beat their competitors. we wouldn't be able to sign onto the internet without having millions of popups come up at once. disgust.gif

If they started out with that much, they wouldn't have had such a poorly built search engine.... -_- (In the beginning)

On the good side of things google could be the new 'free software' type of community like linux. I reckon google should just get their own OS cause why would MS have their competitor available on their OS. This might get messy. ohmy.gif

Um, no... It's called, "Making a search engine. Having people register their site at this engine. Adding an add that every click gives a certain amount of money. Get hundreds of thousands of sites with your add, and boom!"

You become a billionare

Edit: It's called the business world. They just know how it works, so they implemented their knowledge.

Why are you complaining anyways? They are better than Microsoft will ever be.

I know how they store that many web pages.

They, after getting off of teh ground, bought computers with not Giga Bytes, but TeraBytes, A Terabyte makes my computer a piece of stone age club compared to what google uses.

It is for faster search results.

Why not be concerned about SEN doing the same thing??? They pretty much do the same thing.

Databases are where info is stored, for faster reference when you search the same thing again. They are kind of like cookies, but in a wider, and more reliable source

The new project, dubbed Google Purge, will join such popular services as Google Images, Google News, and Google Maps, which catalogs the entire surface of the Earth using high-resolution satellites.

What the hell? There going to have Google Satelites in space...

This fall, we'll unveil Google Sound, which will record and index all the noise on Earth. Is your baby sleeping soundly? Does your high-school sweetheart still talk about you? Google will have the answers.

Shh... In fall the military will be using Google Sound to listen to high ranks in the Iraqi army.

QUOTE
And thanks to Google Purge, anything our global microphone network can't pick up will be silenced by noise-cancellation machines in low-Earth orbit.

Yay... Wait, what if they can't pick up my voice!?

QUOTE
As a part of Phase One operations, Google executives will permanently erase the hard drive of any computer that is not already indexed by the Google Desktop Search.

What the crap??? So now we won't be able to browse the internet that someone made from scrath because our hard drive will get erased!

We believe that Google Desktop Search is the best way to unlock the information hidden on your hard drive," Schmidt said. "If you haven't given it a try, now's the time. In one week, the deleting begins.

Owned? Far from it. You have presented evidence that Google's Gmail becomes federal property, not the databases. Where is the evidence of the Databases? Database information cannot be givin out because it is invasion of privacy if the information is given out.

For example: If Yoshi or IP decided to give the government their databases, every single individual here may sue Yoshi and IP because their database holds personal information such as personal address', DOB, And possibly even phone numbers (I don't remember because I haven't signed up for a long time) and giving this information out is invasion of privacy. Against the constitution. But because of the Patriot Act they maaaay get away with it. But doubtful. With the Patriot Act you have to be a suspeced terrorist.

So what i'm trying to say is this: Prove that the databases are given out, and I shall admit I am wrong.

Well first of all, about the space, they know only 1 in every 10000 are going to use the whole 1 gigabyte. For most people they probably asume 50mb max. And I don't get what u think is so suspisious about google and the amount of searches it shows.
