Some people might say that was flaming. mellow.gif

On topic - I do think that manufacturers of clothes today have little taste. It's become something of an issue here in the right-wing press (Daily Mail etc.), where the slogan on a t-shirt for 6-year olds: 'So many boys so little time,' has become infamous.

Sexualising young girls is pretty repulsive, in my opinion.

I concur. But in the long run, it'll fall to our children. Who will be overrun with STDs, but on the other hand, will get laid by the time they're 9.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! So they blame a toy. Dude thats one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. I mean people have the right to dress how they want. It's not illegal or anything but I mean should it be. In Zambia which is in Africa if you show to much skin they will strip you on the streets or if your a guy they will knock you out. It's kinnda funny tho blame a toy.

Ya, the only problem is that most people don't actually have their own sense of style. They simply choose from what they are given. The whole point of this thread is that, in todays society, little girls must dress scandalously in order to fit in. This means that many of them give up thei- OMG THE NUDISTS ARE TAKING OVER!

little girls learn to dress from celebrities, movies and sometimes from the people around them. I have a 4 year old niece who wants to dress "sexy" but not like a hooker.

I read in a magazine that in fashion shows the "new look" on the runways is covered up. A designer summed it up as follows (this is paraprhasing, mind you): "Women have gotten their freedom to become as naked as possible, and it's not making them happy." After all the liberation and the striking down of old taboos, women have found that just because you have the freedom to dress like a skank doesn't mean you'll want to dress like a skank.

I suppose in about five to ten years the trend is going to go backwards and women are going to start covering up more again. We may possibly see a return of stockings, too! Woo!

It's a pendulum effect, sort of like watching 8-year-olds play arcade racing games.

I don't get the analogy.

And this skimpy dressing is just a fad, and all fads pass.

I'm pasty, I'm goth, I'm geeky, Mace of frost, I'm emo, I'm rainbow, I'm a preppy one too.
Let's all copy the Japanese and wear school uniforms, while we are at it we can install some giant robots and tentacle monsters too.
Don't flame, don't.. wait for it.. wait for it... OH THERE WE GO THEY FLAMED TIME TO LOCK TOPIC.
People don't like hookers, people do like hookers, tanning is bad for you, tanning is good for you.
