Well, they don't really do much to discourage hacking. Hackers will still make new hacks and use them in games, even if Blizzard bans them. They'll just find other ways to get on. But then again, we can hinder them in hopes that they'll move onto other games...

Everyone of the programs I said DO exist, and DO work on bnet. And if you were really good, you COULD just decode starcraft and do whatever you want. Good programmers just have better things to do.
PS:Calling people who use "Trainers" which modify the game hackers degrades real hacker/programmers.

Ack, all trainers screws up your game, degrade the actual performance, and usually don't work at all. Even in single player, it's easier to just type in cheats.

I heard some guy at SSC makes hacks then back doors them....Downloading hacks is like killing your computer in most cases.

That;s what people don't think about when using hacks. Who makes hacks? Hackers. who like breaking into other people's comuters? Hackers. So when you use software made ofr "you" form hackers, it's a pretty good chance that it also helps them to get into your computer.

I wonder if there's "fake" hacks that just screws with a person's computer.

The only people that make 'working hacks' are the people that keep them private.. then the hack somehow gets leaked, some noob copies the hack and claims he made it, backdoors it, CHACHING! Get Nortan, it removes it from your computer if it's a virus or trojen even before the download is done... but we wouldn't go downloading hacks now would we... unless someone here comes up with some uber anti-hack thing... well there is a private map hack, it gets past our anti-map hack thing on maps But thankfully, it's not public... yet...

Anti-hacks are even worse. At least some hack work. No anti-hack has any effect. Some even screws with your computer.

And Norton also deletes half the normal programs on your comp and overall makes everything run really slowly.

I have xP, so all Norton does is complain that its not updated (won't allow me to update), and send me error messages saying it cannot read specified file in the admin account. So it doesn't really do anything but slow down stuff. Although I know enough about computers to delete my own viruses (which we get a fair amount of, thanks to my bros...)

Well the Drop Protection works fine for me... nobody can crash me with the text crash hack and nobody can use that 'ultimate lag hack' thing either.

Drop protection? What do you mean by that?

And I do have Norton. I bought it, and it's installed in all my computers. It runs flawlessly (though I disabled all background programs it uses except the antivirus part, I don't have their firewall). Actually, really old versions of Norton does screw your computer over. It used to happen to me a few years back until I got the newer versions.

Anyways, back on topic. I seems that I've been accused of hacking a lot lately on B.Net. Maybe because my friend is on the other team, feeding me lots of info and vision...

You know how some people carry a 'crash hack' that uses text to crash your game? Drop protection makes it so you DON'T crash.

I dont have any hacks on my computer right now. That spam command is a feature of my computer. I can tell it to enter in any amount of keystrokes by pressing 1 button. And I have like 6 of those set. 4 run programs. 2 are text messages.

All you were getting was his /F M, which is not so bad. I have people from along time ago messaging me, I havent talked to them since I started starcraft.

I hate that crash hack.. some ass like creature used it on me.. because I was owning him in Snipers... jesus.. anyways I have a spam feature as well.. its called C&P.. no one can defeat such power!!!!!

I saw an old spam hack at *CENSORED*
It lets you make HUGE ammounts of spam all at one time. Its extremely annoying. I think it was like SPAM1.2

Btw.. that spammer tool is so easy to destroy.. though annoying by mass macros and whatnot.. I say.. easy counter = SQUELCH.. (You've Got Owned!)

Btw how do you put a map hack protection (other than using a seige tank trick, or do you use that trick?)

But an independent CC. As soon as the reveal the map, the CC comes into view and then...crash.

EDIT: I actually never used it, I just heard of it.

Well some use Independent CCs at major points in the game that cannot be viewed by normal non hacking players... but I remember there being a Scout Crash Unit in Sniper Bald.. hmmmmmm... oh yeah Siege Tank/Cannon Anti-Hack is for single player.. unless someone is dumb enough to click on the cannon using a map hack...
