you should make it alone. i reckon you could do it and you get more pride from accomplishing it. As for me... my first few maps were partnered maps and now people say they don't count for maps ( i lead the project, my ideas etc...) and its still not mine...

2 pretty good dota maps for sc have been done, they are called dota 1.7 (or similar) and DOTX ( defence of the xel-naga, more spells and stuff but a few bugs) ill put them on the database if you wish cause they are lots of fun.

2. I already seen dota for SC, and it gets pretty boring without the special effects when you've played it on WC3.
3. I hope this has special effects and that their actual abilities stand out..

I'm not entirely certain DotA can work in StarCraft. What made the WarCraft version fun was the abundance of heroes - each game was completely different because the chosen heroes worked together in unique and different ways. With so few heroes and spells, I just don't think this will work well.

Yea if you want some suggestinos for that systems me and shocko can help or I think shocko could help..it doesn't sound like a bad idea and i think yu can have more than 6-8 heros

anyway, just plz make it better then that silly game Mini Dota, thats gota be the wrost replica of dota on sc right now, also make sure u get the terrain right, and add lots of different types of spells (i suggest playing the actuall game over n over again or going to their website and looking) as for the heroes i think since sc is limited to the amount of "heroes" or units u should have a decent amoutn while being able to still add creeps and the items.
i wish u gl in completing this project tho, it wil be hard but worth it i think

I was making a dota map, it had lots of tree sprites and 9 heros to choose from. There was many many upgrades you can buy. I used 3 dropships with different items/upgrades. Each unit had their own special ability using a corsair/defiler system.
I never got around to finishing the upgrades/items/special ability system, or balancing the units. I dont think i ever will finish it.
