nice italic I there iamacow
the answer is "i" (imaginary number)
if it postive 1 then the answer would be 1 but since it is negitive the answer has to be an imaginary number. No number can be mutlplied by itself and have a negitive product.
Sqr -100 = 10i
Although it isn't taught until algebra 2 or later.
I learned in algebra 1 .. *walks away

I learned it in prealgebra, but wasn't tought it by a teacher until Algebra II.
Boy was that a long time ago lol.
errr my teacher said sumtin bout imaginary numbers but what exactly IS an imaginary number???

square root of negative 1
1i??? Going off what square of -100=10i.

1i = i
Imaginary numbers are nonexistant numbers that can be used in calculations to get back into the real zone. I'm not a math teacher and i'm not really good at math but it is something like that.
LOL its a die 1-6 is always 1 of the numbers facing up
15-20 is the totall of the 5 faces facing up
5 is the number of faces facing showing
never 21 except in air means the total sum cant b 21 unless its in the air
there ya all happy?

lol they figured that on the first page
Sorry, i'm confused he asked us what the Square of -1 was? You don't need to do a Special Number for that, or anythign as silly, you can do it in your head. It becomes 1.
The Squareroot is a different matter, because till you are very good at maths they will tell you that you cannot Square root a Negative number, but you can, it just isn't nice to do.
