That would make you the 6th or 7th person to offer. I think I'll start looking for help if those triggers do crap out and don't work. If they do work, then I'll be okay to keep copying them.

Alright I'll consider it since I've known you for a long while
I figure I've got a whole community here to help, but how many like repetitive triggers and how many just want their name on this map once its done?
If you need any help id be intrested, in production or testing

I'd choose the latter. Without doing any work. So think about it ya?

Yeah, perfect. Should I slap a BlizzSCUMS tag on there, too?
I was actually thinking about having BSCUMS take over this project, too. But I figured they'd want to start something from scratch.
>< well hows it going.... ! You get any more done?
Well I took a small break to finish up another map I was working on (Shogun), but now that its done, I'm going back to Monopoly.
Looking foward to it Devlin if u need a tester msg me on Sc "ChrispChicken"
Did i already say, that the idea is very good ?
So many posts here, i didnt manage to find my old reply
(or i didnt reply hmm)
Hope it wont take ages to finish this map.
Well after a year, I don't know really how much time this will take given the fact that I do have a life outside of StarCraft (shocking, I know).
But I hope I wont disappoint with this one.
Wow Devlin, we're two good ol' procrastinators, aren't we? My Battle for Middle-Earth thread and your Monopoly thread make for two interesting and ancient reads. When did you lose real motivation to finish it?
I lost and gained motivation many times. I think that when I first started this with my friend Scypher, we were psyched for the first two weeks. Once we got help from RexyRex for our dice display on the minimap, things started to slow down considerably. Scypher then decided he was too lazy to work on it more, and I basically became too lazy to start working on the property triggers.
This then turned into a joint effort between Legacy(U) and I, but he mainly helped with the movement triggers (in correlation with the rolling triggers) and then lost interest. That lasted for another week or two, and then the project was dead once more.
Since then I've had a few partners here and there, but it was always mainly myself working on this map (which is why I'm usually not so keen to letting people help anymore).
Now that I'm out of school, I figured I had enough time to finish up most of the redundant triggers and see if the immense amount of bugs that follow make it unbearable to play, thus deciding whether or not I should finish this.
I figure I'll release the Beta version once all the property triggers are done. And then I'll ask that people post the bugs they find here, and I'll put their names somewhere in the map for the final release if the bug is significant in any way.
why are these repetitive trigs taking so long? are you using classic trigedit? cause i don't see how anyone could have put up with it for this long.
I'm on a Mac, therefore I'm basically using the same trigger editor you'd find in your X-tra editor. Until SCMDraft for Mac comes out, this is what I'm stuck with.
ouch, i feel bad for you. reptitive trigs suck, i almost died from making just 15 * 7(105) trigs this morning.
Yeah, I'm told I could do it easier with TrigEdit or even StarForge's trigger system. Now you people see why I have so many complaints about this?!
I'll get to work on it now.
w00t going to work on it again
Good Luck man, dont lose concentration
I'm trying my best.
So I tested it myself, and as I feared the triggers have major bugs. So I started over on all the property triggers, and I think I've got a better system set up now. Its still about 17 triggers per property (landing on the property, that is), but it should work better this time.
so, hows the progress, i'm asking since you haven't updated your OP for 2 months. lol, if i were you, i'd pay someone to use SCMD2 and do all the boring trigs for me.
The question is, will that someone do the trigger correctly?
Yeah, that's about 300 triggers that each require very exact conditions for each action. If they were to mess it up, a lot could get messed up. Of course it may be easily fixable, but why take that chance. I'm okay with doing them all now, I think.
