It's called firefox.
I'd have to say there's nothing wrong with it, just keep it off SEN
Doing it more than once a day is unhealthy though, it can consume your mind, grades will drop, don;t wreck your life for it. And you can start getting some of the negative effects anabolic steriods have.
Where the hell did you hear that? Theres about as much truth behind that as there is behind the whole "you'll go blind" statement.
Youre telling me that if I masturbate often, I'll grow breasts, develop bad acne, and my testicles will shink? And my muscles will start to grow more rapidly? There is absolutely NO truth in this statement whatsover (well...you might develop a little extra forearm/wrist muscle, but thats from an entire different reason). Please do some research before you start making such stupidly ridiculous claims. Sorry if that was harsh, but I generally hate misinformation.
Also, someone mentioned it lowering sperm count...if you do not masturbate, you're gonna get rid of the surplus anyway. Theyre called wet dreams. Whether it happens when youre awake, or when youre asleep, its gonna happen.
And again...the largest reason sex is so much more enjoyable? Think about kissing, and it shouldnt take long to realize. Spend five minutes kissing your hand. Spend five minutes kissing your girlfriend//boyfriend. Tell me which you enjoyed more. The same applies to sex; that physical/mental connection makes a world of a difference.
~~~~WARNING: RIDICULOUSLY HIGH AMOUNT OF TOO MUCH INFO~~~~~~
There is no number of times of masturbating per day that equals too many. For every person it different. During some of my earlier adolescent years, I would go 15 times a week, but I maintained a B average, and it did not "wreck my mind". Masturbation is only unhealthy when A, It started becoming more than just a form of sexual satisfaction, i.e. you feel depressed and use it to cheer yourself up (this can sometimes lead to reliance) B, it starts to interfere with your normal schedule (You skip school/work/etc to stay home and masturbate) or you find yourself unable to keep from masturbating in inappropriate places, or C, you're physically hurting yourself.
The thought that masturbation is in any way "wrong" is just, in my opinion, plain stupid. It is a bodily function like anything else. I have a female friend of mine who actually considers herself "above" me because she "doesn't do that gross stuff anymore." She also happens to be a very strict Christian, but whatever. Not sure if thats just a coincidence or not.
As for porn, the media is actually starting a war against it. I have seen a startling rise in the number of books and movies portraying the "evils" of internet porn. One particular movie stuck out, though. A Lifetime movie (lol...) titled something like "His secret: Cyber Seduction" had me cracking up. This teenage boy, a very sucessfully competitive swimmer, with an incredibly gorgeous g/f (in my opinion) discovers a porn site while playing around on the internet. Before the movie is over, he's making all F's, he's lost his g/f, he gets mauled by a group of other teenagers, his little brother is slowly becoming "corrupted" and his family hates him, because he became "addicted" to internet pornography. And at the end of the movie, it has some movie star giving a public announcement to parents about the "dangers" of porn, and advises "Every single parent to as closely monitor your childs internet activity as possible" This had me pissed off. If this were to actually ever happen (the story with the boy) it would have to be the single most extreme case of "What could go wrong" to ever happen, and would ever happen. The movie is trying to portray what porn does to the "average" teen...I'm not sure, but I believe on a show of hands, very few people here, or anywhere, would start taking stimulants and stop sleeping completely just to stay up and look at porn. The kid even gets so desperate for porn that he uses his friends computer, the school computers, and even his girlfriend's PDA.
I believe this entire "war on porn" thing is another case of America's "Blame something else" syndrome, the same thing they have been doing with video games, movies, television, and alcohol. (Think back to the 1920's, prohibition...that didn't work out very well, did it? But it DID lead to the start of NASCAR, so hey, why not...)
I regularly view porn (internet). I collect it, and have amassed quite a collection. Why? Because if I load the image, I feel I might as well go ahead and save it, and then I can distribute it amongst friends who arent privilaged enough to have internet access. A friend of mine, (a female....lol) and I will often watch porn together, or trade porn, for fun. But ya know what? We also watch regular movies together, we go biking on long trips, we hang out at the mall, we go to school, make decent grades, and lead an otherwise ordinary lifestyle.
Another friend of mine (male) often buys porn from me. I know for a fact I have sold him over 10 gigabytes worth of porn. He graduated this year with honors. A 4.3 GPA. He has a girlfriend (who is now his fiance), and I know that they watch the porn together as an "aid". (They're very open about their relationship, lol) And I also know that "internet pornagraphy" has not "savagely torn apart their relationship"
If one is mature enough to view porn, and understand what it truly is (A visual aid, a source of entertainment, or even a guide to certain activities, lol) then I see no problem with it. And anyone who has an opinion against it, thats fine. But anyone who seeks to have it banned or removed...should be "removed" themself.
