I did, it was quite pleasent. I just hate ego and extremely bad English. Together, they make me want to kill.

I doubt that. Once people get the authority to do big things, they usually change their attitude (I said USUALYLKY!!!!))

Lol.

I don't think that there is a shortage of responsible enough people on this site to do some minor moderation (2 medium-traffic forums or something) duties, but there seems to be a lack of experience.

Actually, I think that to become a mod you have to have at least 4 of the following qualities:

 • Long time member
 • Good tempered
 • Popular or respected by the community
 • High level of activity
 • Friends with Yoshi or IP (sounds stupid, but never underestimate this one)
 • Responsible and firm but fair

If you're trying to figure out potential candidates - compare them to that list.

No, you need 4 of these tongue.gif :
1. Be a respectable member of this community. This means, you are generally known by most members and you contribute from time to time. We aren't asking that you be hardcore and spend your life here, but a few minutes in our forums a day doesn't hurt.
2. Have some 'Use Map Settings' map making knowledge. This will help you greatly because we are a 'Use Map Settings' map making website!
3. Personality counts! Don't be a complete jerk or idiot during your stay. You won't even be considered.
4. (Optional) PHP Knowledge. This isn't a requirement, because its a big programming language, but little PHP knowledge could help your way big into the ranks.
5. Willing to assist. You help other people to the best of your ability.
6. Commitment. You must be willing to commit yourself to this website.

IP and I can also place mods.
I think that MilleniumArmy might make a good moderator.

Mil is way too inactive. When he was judging for the WMT, it took him months to do maps an he really isn't on that much.

Actually, this is really true. It's almost a requirement. You can't exactly try to be our friends, when you do that, we ignore you. It comes naturally or by having a high reputation, or doing something really good that we notice. Since Staredit Network has generally huge forums, we don't judge people by how much they say they love the site/admins, or whatever else. We need to have trusted people.

I think Rexy deserves it because she is close friends with IP and Yoshi, and I have heard she sometimes helps do stuff for them when it comes to PHP stuff.

1. I've been here since SEN v3, but never posted unless if I felt there was a need for me to say something.
2. I know enough to save my life, and maybe (hopefull tongue.gif) enough to win a UMS contest, but innovation-wise I'll never rival Ðk or Bolt_Head.
3. Raise your hand if you think I'm a jerk. [rooster shotgun, fires at hand] Anyone else? [rooster shotgun, fires at next hand] Anyone else? C'mon, don't be shy. Oh yes, Simpsons rocks.
4. blink.gif Well, he said "4 things". This'll be #5, as in "excluded". Besides, I can always learn it.
5. I do what I can, going A and B the C of D and actually OPENING newbs' maps to troubleshoot instead of just posting half-solid questions on the forums.
6. I'm an addict, unfortunately for me, but it gets me qualified.

1. I can definitely do all of it, maybe not so strong on the "respectable part", but that's for #3 wink.gif You don't have to ask me to be hardcore and spend my life here, because that's already done. wink.gif

2. I am very competent in mostly everything involved with UMS.

3. Okay I'm not a "complete" jerk or idiot, but um... tongue.gif

4. I will be willing to learn PHP, I've been wanting to learn a programming language sometime in the future.

5. Assisting people is one of my specialties, I like to share my knowledge and try explaining things to other people. The joy of teaching something to someone is a great feeling.

6. I am very committed, and I think I've shown that throughout my year here. smile.gif

Just thought I would jump on the bandwagon wink.gif

1. Legacy is well respected, I don't think he's every been in a flaming argument in a thread. He is very well known throughout this entire community, and he seems to be on SEN regularly,

2. Legacy doesn't just have "some" UMS mapmaking knowledge, he has a lot of UMS knowledge. I've known Legacy when he was just a nubby map maker and I've seen him become a great mapmaker.

3. Legacy has a great personality. He is the complete opposite of what a jerk or idiot would be.

4. I don't know if he knows PHP, but he certainly can program, he's making the God Triggers editor!

5. Willing to assist? Legacy runs the Tutorials Database! I've personally talked with him and had him explain things to me, and he is very patient and willing to answer any questions.

6. Legacy is extremely committed I believe,

Zealot - on the locked version of this thread I put a notice saying that's not what I wanted. Sure, it's nice to know you think I'd make a good moderator, but I don't make threads for people to only kiss my ass.

Yoshi, IP: Do you know how much I love you? wink.gif

ADDITION:
And yes, LegacyWeapon has some PHP knowledge under his belt.
