The omitted results, are the sites Google thinks are in similarity to the ones it just gave you. Next click on the underlined part and you should get about 100 O things.
To me, they only let the maximum websites displayed go up to around 999.
More results then webpages you can look at eh? That is true. But that doesn't mean that they are entirely "evil" as you just love to put it. They probibly don't want to overun their databases with hundreds of thousands of duplicate sites.
