I think Syphon was talking about how his post was off topic, but I agree with him, your posts are frustrating to read, I advise you to use correct grammar from now on.

Yes, I was talknig about my post.

I'm trying to persuade my mom to let me sleep from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. instead of 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. for the sake of getting more sleep and being able to get more work done.

So far I've had no luck.

Id like to meet anyone who actually has accomplished sleeping like this.

In the modern day. I mean, still alive.

This method may be benefitial to your recreational life and your time use, but it wouldn't benefit your body very much. We need rest, and long periods of it. Sleeping for a half hour and waking up is only distorting yourself and screwing with your brain. I bet any human trying this process will wake up feeling grumpy and pure crap.

If you say so.
I think once you've fully grown and are not sick doing this would work great.
I can't wait 'till I'm 19.

not true. it will then just make you sick when you get old... nothing is temp in your body they all have reaons and they affect later on

It works, but you cant just jump into it like that. I did it myself for 4 months.Every two weeks cut your sleep schedule into smaller peices. like 2-4 hour sleep, then in two weeks, 3-3 hour sleeps, 4-2 hours sleeps. Then just shorten the sleep times by 15 minutes every week.

I'm trying this right now, I think this is hour 30.

My observations: I'm actually feeling quite awake, the only time I get really sleepy is before and after a nap. I'm starting to drift to sleep faster and faster (not sure if I'm getting all the way to R.E.M. or not). 5 a.m. is a very boring time to be awake and tired. My mind has figured out that there are 3 hours and 40 minutes between naps (and lets me know an hour in advance out of pure spite). Other than that nothing much different than normal.

Although there are a couple of times I wish I could smash my alarm clock.

And for those people who think its not possible, it is. Just get your kid to do it. If you do it all of your life, its obviously natural.

Though it works in some cases, it would be very incommodious for you to do it for the rest of your life. You can never expect when something comes up and you can't get the rest you need.

You have to have a minimum of 7 hours rest for your body, or else the stress screws with it
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathawk on 2005-11-12 at 14:37:32
Obviously not if people are doing this right now.
Stress is controlable.

My friend is testing this (rogue_pheonix), and if it works for him, i am totally going on this schedule. It's the fourth day for him and he seems to be holding up fine.

I found that after a full night of staying up, I took a 4o minute nap and was wide awake (A bit out of it though, but was really awake)

Because you needed REM, correct?
When was the next time you went to sleep?
was it like 16 hours?

I'm seriously considering trying this out this summer, might be interesting. Of course, it probably screws up your system for months, so it might be better to avoid.
Off topic:
Does anyone know if trying to sleep learn latin vocabulary would cause any adverse effects?

Sleep learning doesn't work. I've seen many experiments to confirm this.

I'd gotten up Sunday at around 10 AM. Stayed up all night and took a 40 minute nap from about 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM. Stayed up until 10 PM Monday nighty.

Pretty efficient I guess.
