Uhh...yeah it does smart guy. IE came with popup blockers when all PCs were upgraded to Windows XP SP2.

EDIT:

Just to prove my point...

KrAzy, there is a substantial difference. The Acid2 test tests standard compliance, firefox and Opera are very close to passing, safai and Konqueror pass, but IE6 and IE7 do not pass, they fail miserably.

Opera is also the fastest Windows browser. Firefox is faster on Linux, though.

Then I guess I should switch to Opera?

No it doesn't. You have to buy them for the browser to block stuff like that. Opera and FireFox don't have to worry about buying that because they already have them.

ROTFLMAOOL, THAT'S SO NOT TRUE.

That's your opinion, I'm saying facts about IE.

That kind of desision is up to you. I know right now I have it and love the browser.

Internet Explorer's pop up blocker comes from MSN, Yahoo, Google, maybe AOL and 3rd parties. You just download them, not buy them.

So what exactly does Interent Explorer have that Firefox does not?

Microsoft's approval?

Firefox is so much better than internet explorer and it will stay that way because firefox isn't made by microsoft.

NOOOOO...

Seriously. It sucks. With my PC, I couldn't use Java-based things, it took tons of time to load, and the interface was so hard to learn my mind kafizzled out. Plus, the media controls on my keyboard didn't work while I was using Opera.

Two Words: USE FIREFOX.

Currently Firefox is superior over internet explorer. If anyone says otherwise, they're morons.

However, Microsoft obviously is a smart company and I'm sure if it wants to and it may be it'll come out with something better than firefox. We'll just have to wait and see.

The only thing IE has over Fx are some rare compatibilities.

I'm not sure if this is completely accurate, but I think that IE can, to an extent, decode, or at least see, PHP pages when its on a non-supported server.

Before, I had uploaded php files on a server that didn't support them. IE showed it as it was supposed to be anyway, while FF showed the source code. Another thing that IE owns FF at tongue.gif

Opera and FF are a bit similar, but opera centers text D:.

IE comes out to be a lot better than anything else... that is if you have my new computer... biggrin.gif For me, Internet Explorer is the best but I am still voting on Opera and FireFox being better.

I'd use FF just to get rid of the massive amount of buttons on IE's toolbars.
