How does the Siege Tank Trick work?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-01-01 at 22:30:38
You have siege tank on the ground and an enemy pylon in the dark ona hill. If they reveal map the tank kills the pylon. Set up a trigger and make it so if you kill the pylon you lose.

I use hacks for map testing. UNITS can't see it, but PLAYERS can. That wont work.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EzDay281 on 2004-01-02 at 02:48:20
Ohh, a simple "If you can see this, you lose" type thing.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by FizzleBoink on 2004-01-02 at 03:05:50
Well thats one view, the other one is "If you can see this, and destroy it! THEN YOUR A DAMN RETARD AND YOU LOSE!!!!!!"

I know how to block "The Gathering" and a bunch of other stuff
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-02 at 11:53:52
btw we're not talking about single player cheats, if someone has a maphack the tank still doesn't kill the pylon because a maphack is completely different, and this is the hack reports thread not anti-singleplayercheats thread.

Well, I guess a bunch of hidden "secrets" that are extremely hard to find would work.
The idiot(in some cases) using the map hack sees something like a Gas Cube named "9999minsFREE" and goes for it. POOF dead. Along with randomization triggers. That might work...

We already have an anti- maphack/mapcheat method so if they use it they get their game crashed.

Hmm, I've heard (again, just a rumour) that newer hacks circuments the Independent CC trick and similar techniques. Probably isn't true though, since it would be very hard to do that.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-02 at 23:33:07
It would be very hard to do that but someone probably did it. But of course it's not public.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by FizzleBoink on 2004-01-02 at 23:44:44
If only DK would leak it for us... :*(.. hehehehe
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-03 at 00:04:54
btw I don't even care about hacks anymore.... so I don't bother downloading them. It now shows in my mind as 'STUPID', and 'STUPID' will take the place of hacks wink.gif. And if that hack was public we'd see like millions of noobs using it by now so of course I know it's private.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2004-01-03 at 08:40:00
I wouldn't use it anyway. Some people (me) aren't stupid enough to do it
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-03 at 10:42:35
Who would use hacks to ruin fun? Especially on UMS maps... wow how very stupid...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EzDay281 on 2004-01-03 at 13:53:39
Well, it wouldn't ruin the fun, if...
To: <1> Hey, wanna play a Hack game? Melee, nr, all hacks, ...
Continues ranting...
The Lord of the Hack Contest!!
That could get interesting... totally different tactics and crap.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SpaceBoy2000 on 2004-01-03 at 14:58:06
Um, let's see...NO! That would be considered to be promoting hacking. To me anyways.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EzDay281 on 2004-01-03 at 15:35:05
There's nothing wrong with hacks, if all people use them all the time lol.
It's just the way they're used NOW. If people used them for fun, rather than wins, annoynce, and other stupid meaningless loved-by-humans crap, then it wouldn't be a PROBLEM, WOULD it?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EzDay281 on 2004-01-03 at 19:30:52
What already is what?

It already is -_-

btw he didn't double post; I deleted my last one.

It's impossible to double post.
I noticed you deleted it.
Now answer my question please.
If you try to double post, it just says you can't.

Are you stupid? Do I need to make it clearer?

then it wouldn't be a PROBLEM, WOULD it?

It ALREADY is. Period.

God, are you paying attention to hwat I'M typing? What I'm ttrying to say is:
It WOULDN'T be a roblem, IF it were used to make a game more interesting and fun rather than for cheating, annoyance. easy wins and other stupid meaningless crap
You complaining about me not paying attention to what you saying sounds hypocritical to me.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathknight on 2004-01-06 at 18:38:01
Yea but many people claim they DO do that stuff; I used to... and was a fool for doing so. -_-

I don't think map hacking, stacking, message spoofing, or crashing other people's starcraft is used for 'fun' or making the game 'more interesting'. Maybe if you wouldn't promote hacks... there might not be any...

now can we get back on-topic here? This is the 'Hack reporting thread'. Report what hacks you've seen/heard of here. Not any arguments or promotions of hacks. I will no longer argue with you because arguing where it doesn't belong is stupid.

Back on topic.

Actually, I've used StarSpoof before, and if it constantly worked, I would still have it. I use it usually to spoof my name when I backstab to something very n00bish. And I do usually check if the spoofed name exists or not.
