I read through pretty much every post excluding super long ones and the last few but id like to point out that you didn't say anything about girls with girls is a problem.

Also there is now laws for gay marriages anybody discriminating them because of it really are going against the law.

There are some gays who are shy and some that are very open with their opinions, even aggressive. Making a generalization on all of them is pretty hard to do. It may seem though as if they're intolerant right now simply because they do not have as many rights others do. So of course if people make a gay joke, some will get really spun up since many members of the gay community feel they are treated less fairly by the government. This is probably the main reason why this arguement seems more of what PwnPirate referred to as "mobbing" rather than a serious discussion.

Lusiv, I will have to rephrase it again and again, untill I get an answer from you:

You claim that being gay is not genetic, so being straight is genetic, right ? So, gays were straights, but somehow became gays, right ? This means, that some external factors "won" over their "nature" (being straight), thus turning them into gays ? Right ?

You posted something that had nothing to do with what he said, which he then pointed out, which you then proceeding with "stating your rights".

But in attempt to lure you back into an endless discussion... I shall try and re-re-re-rephrase Jammed's question in "If, Then" form:

Luisv's argument: Being gay = not genetic(or if you prefer, 'genetical')

Jammed's argument:

If homosexuality is not genetic, then all gays started as straights.

If all gays started as straights, then they [the gays] must have gone against their natural habits/behavior patterns through sheer will or through 'external causes'(anything from [straights] living with or around other gays, to bad experiences with women, to a shortage of women).

Jammed's question to luisv: Is this correct, according to your reasoning?

Now, as for actual contributions, there is one case in which a child can be born thinking that men are attractive and women are not. This was described to me in a science class about two years ago.

Sometimes during pregnancy, a fetus will take time in 'deciding' which gender to be. Some parents can speed up the process, if they wish, by having doctors remove female-specific genitalia, leaving the fetus with no option but to become a male. In some cases, where the original plan was for the fetus to be born a female, a male born baby will feel attracted to other males because he will 'think' like a female.

Then again, there are also cases where straights go gay. Their argument is that, "Because we're both guys, we know how we like it [sex] best." Most males in this position are much older, and have been around the block a few times. But they'd be better classified as bisexuals.

Now, about the gays being intolerant thing, I take it you're talking from your own experiences, luisv. Everyone else is talking from their experiences. So, I'm thinking the gays you know act like pricks to you because they don't like you. It's not a question of being gay or not, it's a question of social habits. They just use their gayisms as ammunition for verbal insults or self defense. Taking advantage of something is a totally human habit.

I also remember that you said something about gays being hypocritical. You could say that about everyone, it's a human trait, not a 'gay' trait. Everyone from businessmen to school teachers to religious or anti-religious zealots.. everyone is a hypocrite.

And this ex-gay thing... I don't know any, although it's entirely possible. Death threats are actually rather common in the US, where almost every other kid says f*** more than once an hour. In LA, it's about once a minute or more.

Really, I think that you're just pissed off at them and you need to direct your anger at something. Gays are human, and like everyone else, the only difference is that they like dick on dick action.

Dest (lusiv) I have to say that gays are one of the most tollerant people I know. I have a few gay friends and they are all accepting of other peoples life styles. It is when others try to push their beliefs on them that it becomes a problem. Let live and let be, for the religious groups out there it is not for you to judge but rather for God. No person from my experince has ever changed their sexual oreintation because a few religious people tried to force their beliefs.

Now you're relating rapists to homosexuals, a very small amount of the population are homosexuals, same with rapists, a very small (if any) amount of gays are rapists, and if they are, there's nothing more against them then any other rapist, the just rape members of the same sex as opposed to the opposite sex.

Your Science teacher was wrong, sex is determined by chromosomes. Female is XX, male is XY the female will always contribute an X to the baby, and the male (sperm) will either carry an X or a Y. If it's an X, you get a girl, if it's a Y you get a guy.

Gayness is just another preference, like hamburgers to pizza, or tacos to hot dogs. I prefer hamburgers and tacos. Does that mean that I should kill all guys who prefer pizza or hot dogs? There are, however, rare situations in which a person is born with both sets of genetailia. There is an off chance that the wrong one is removed, and the person will believe they are the other gender.
