Actually, it's of tremendous help when you're "improvising" new triggers and coming up with new effects and such. I've always thought that trigger improvisation is what sets the truly advanced mappers apart.

Making new triggers? As in a new set of triggers like Tux's new gunner triggers or soemthing like that?
If you mean that then yes I have made some. I just never publicized them because I lost everything in my PC about 2 months ago. I had a new way of leveling in my Daggerfall RPG using death counters.
Basicly after you killed each unit you would get a point(counter) in a random skill. When all 4 skills(I used 4 it can be from 2 to any number of skills), reached a minumun, the character reached a new level. The minimun for each level advancement would be higher each time.
IE: Level 2 minimun stats 10 for A and 8 for B
This means you need 10 points in skill A and 8 points in skill B.
A character may have 15 points in skill A and 7 points in skill B, but he still won't be level 2.
I think it's a very good level up system for RPG's, instead of the old experience leveling system. It's more realistic and it's not based on most powerfull player in one area, it's based on the best overall player.
I never publicized these triggers because I lost them about 2 days after I made them. I will post them soon so that the RPG world will finally get rid of the experience level system and go with the more complex skill leveling system.
I can also come with new trigger concepts!
