Exactly how is it freaky? Maybe you've done, or not done certain things before which have stopped triggers from firing?
It's just I've had many people do that thing before, I've tested that spot over a dozen times alone, and I never had that happen to me nor anyone I know of. And I got in there with the 100% done version. Also, there's some bugs like, If you summon an archon in certain battles, you won't get a victory trig at all (Even if you sat there for all day. So I added antibug protection for it). The same thing used to happen with rangers, to fix the bug, all I did was remove a quick 125 milisec wait. Another main reason why the map may have bugs in it, is because I never organized the trigs properly. And the final reason why, is just cause I simply over looked something.
One more really freaky one I found, was where you could upgrade your spells. If u walked up to the probe, it wouldn't work, UNLESS you walked away, then came straight back. So to fix that, I made it so when u walk into there, it moves u right to the location, that right back near the exit. There's some other ones too.
DK3 is I think the best and most fun out of the trilogy. I beat the boss in the graveyard, I'm level 20.......and....I'm just roaming around

. Good luck with DK4 and your PW system

I see what you mean about bugs... Im glad you have the time to find those bugs and fix them good job for you

I'm not work on dks 4 right away. I've only made 1 map this entire year, and I've only worked on 1 map this entire year. So, I'm gonna work on Ghost Forest, a medium sized map. Take me 2 months tops. I'll get a thread going on it in about 4-6 weeks. Doing a thread now would just totally ruin my motivation.
EDIT: I'm gonna turn 18 at 2:31 pm today.

Good job on DK3 Alpha i very much enjoyed it ^_^ even so i played it before most people did hehe. I hope see DK4 before sc dies out =/

Happy Birthday Alpha(MC)!

Alpha... I don't know what to say... I love your style, man. DK3 is by far the best RPG map I've ever played, and I've played some good maps. Great balance. And you actually have to use the spells to beat some of the regular enemies, something I've never seen anyone accomplish. And so many optional bosses... I've killed all of them except the Ghost Ship so far, and I'm at about 90k XP, which means I get to deal with Yako soon. I wonder what he'll be like... Is there any way to find the Ghost Ship other than wandering around? I ran into it once and died way back at like level 35, and I can't seem to find it again.
Doesn't it follow a set pattern, or is that for another unit. I also died at level 35 against it, what are the chances eh!
The Ghost Ship and the four crystals that only come out when it rains are the only quests I haven't completed. I don't even know where to start looking for the crystals, and the ship, well, it's out there somewhere.
One bug that's been driving me crazy is the summoned aArchon bug, where you can't win a battle. I can't beat the last boss without using the Archon, but I can't use the Archon if I want the battle to end. So even though I kill him, his minions still keep spawning and kill me. Maybe I'll just build my armor to like lvl 200 or something.
Ya, sorry about that. I learned my lesson from disorganized trigs. My new map's trigs will be a LOT more organized. Right now I've been playing WoW. Gonna take about 1-2 weeks for me to get tired of it for a lil bit.
I know that curse too well!
Tell me all the secrets, post guides, tips for dk3
Yeah Ive been playing WoW too. Im just starting to get ready to get back onto SC.
Starting from now everyone get back on topic, - CK
You can play this in single player... I know how
I won't say anything about how to do it, I have a good guess, lol.
I haven't read the thread for a couple weeks, and i don't plan on doing it again, so don't blame me if this was asked and asnwered already =\ but about how long did it take you to do the 3 DK maps?
Just play it in IPX mode or whatever... You can't cheat that way, and it's still single player. It's not a huge secret or anything.
My guess was wrong, and it didn't work anyways =\
What's IPX mode.... Is that one of the B.net options?
It took me about 11 months in all. Would've taken a lot shorter if I never made any RPGs before it.
And would've been way crappier! From the progression of the maps one can see your development from an average map-maker to an expert. It's pretty cool to see!
To Zerg Playing Dead:
IPX is a protocol computers use to talk to each other. It's one way to play StarCraft multiplayer. It's outdated, so a few patches back they put in the UDP protocol option, as well.
when i first saw death knights 3, i was amazed. i love sounds, gameplay, and triggers. GJ!!
Guess I'll have to import it to my mom's desktop and play it, lol. But that's ok,

Wow, 11 months, you did a nice job. I know what you mean about it being shorter to maek it you had never made any before. I finished my first RPG in 5 days, the next took a month, then it all went downhill from there.
Nah, there's at least one way to actually play the map in single player. I was a bit bored after a few hours in UDP, so I loaded it up in single player and used power overwhelming to finish it.
Yeah, I figured it out, too. Nice password, Alpha. Not many people could guess that.
