I've had tons of competition since I started this map. In my downloads folder, I have at least 4 or 5 other copies of Monopoly that various people started and could never finish. tongue.gif

This is only the second year, I believe. I wont let it hit 3.

2 months, 3 days, 23 hours, 47 minutes, and 11 seconds.

As for a more serious and thought-out answer, fritfrat says he'll be done in a week. Once he's done, that will leave only the house/hotel triggers and the chance/community chest triggers (as far as major ones go). After that I believe I just need all the jail, railroad, utility, tax, and Go triggers.

In layman's terms, once he finishes, the map will be about 60% to 65% complete. The chance/community chest triggers make up about 20 more percent. And everything else I mentioned above makes up the remaining 15% to 20%.

To update everyone, I have sent devlin the map. I did all the purchase/land/rent triggers, but they currently aren't set up for when the players cannot afford to pay the rent.. that still needs to be done.

No harm no foul, devlin. I'd say the best two options of doing it I thought of would be using an unused score and leaderboard the debt, or use a death counter and trigger duplicator it to fit onto the 3 didgits in the middle. Besides that, like the progress I made? cool1.gif

Well I remember this Thread (or a similar one) when I still have been making Maps...And that's over 2 Years ago..

I also have mentioned that I started a Monopoly Map (don't have good Screens on that PC because all my Maps are on my old machine, but I found one screenshot I made some years ago): http://mitglied.lycos.de/xxxfanta/Monopoly.jpg

It had already rollDice-Triggers and movement-Triggers built.

Just wondering that you have a similar way for making the Actions (I used to have also a Civ in the middle...And I can remember that I showed the Map somewhere in a Monopoly Thread by you some years ago ;D )

But why aren't you finishing it? Shouldn't be hard - just time consuming...

i like how you have those smaller squares round the exterior of the board. im guessing you were going to use those for the player tokens and use the bigger squares for the Houses and Hotels? yes, i wouldnt call it easy, but it takes a long time. planning is probably the most time consuming part. im working on a monopoly map at the moment, and you gota think about all the stuff that can go wrong. the difficulty is, creating systems that communicate with each other, not just simple individual systems that work by themselves smile.gif

Hm...Yeah thinking before working is quiet helpfull...(I spend 48 hours working on a Chess Map with ~7400 Triggers...though there would have been easier Methods then testing every possible field wink.gif )

I used the Squares on the right for a system to save the order of the chance and community cards (I can't remeber it good enough...But I wanted to place Units there that represent those cards).

Bigger squares for the player tokens and on exterior part of it (with the light terrain) there would have been houses and hotels.
The smaller squares had Units inside for the diffrent Street-Name (tried to use same units for the same streets so it makes sense)

That's actually what I've build some years ago...Only Dice/Move-Triggers work:

omg 7400 triggers! how lol? u got 64 squares right? 9 units? 9x64=576 triggers, which covers all the player movement options, and im guessing thats most of the triggering out the way? maybe theres something im not thinking about?

Yeah, I have the Civilian in the middle as well. I remember you posting about yours in this thread, well after I posted the screenshots for my map. I'm pretty sure I know what you're insinuating, but I was the first person to post a Monopoly map in progress on SEN. I assure you all my ideas for this are my own. The only idea I may take is the one suggested to Target about a five minute break every hour (because you can't simply pause the game and assume the other players will not resume while you're gone tongue.gif).

Because I have more important things in life to deal with than a StarCraft map. And though I do plan to finish this, the bills, work, and maintaining my very own fiscal responsibility seem to be more worrisome at the moment. biggrin.gif

It worked a bit harder...Don't know how to explain...But if you wanted to move your queen from D1 to D8, it checked if there was also something in the way (om A2 AND/OR A3 AND/OR A4 ...)
