Moose flamed for warning people lol, amazing that some people have the courage..

Generally, if someone is stupid enough that he can't guess the rules, which are pretty much the basic that are followed by most people in most contexts, including 'irl', and to not check the rules, then there's not really much reason for him to be here anyways. I don't feel sorry for anyone who fits into both those categories, and I doubt the Mods/Staff/Admins here do.

That sounds backwards from what i said, I consider "newbie" and "noob" to mean the exact same thing. "A person who is ignorant towards the topic of conversation"
Ignorance isn't a bad thing, it simply means you don't know, not that your an idiot.



Some times I would rather have people curse me out in private than do it publicly on the forums. I don't loose any sleep over people I don't know relinquishing all there anger towards me. I just lower my opinion of them and laugh at how stupid they are.



Well, my mind is still damaged by the images that one guy posted all over the forums. The intent of that wasn't good or to arrouse, it was to spam the forum with compleatly and utterly nastly photographs. (recalling those pictures makes me want to puke)



Amen to that. It amazes me how demanding and insulting people will be towards you after you warned them for something. Then when you tell them that your not going to do anything for them because they arn't being mature about it they don't know what your talking about.

Oh, that sometimes happens. Only after they screw up and got warned, lose minerals, get banned from shoutbox and so on.

So basically, if we flame you we will be banned for a while or do some kind of penlty.
However if I flame a person you do not pertictuallar, like, say for instance a someone who was banned for a week for spamming, you "would let me get away with it"

This is what I mean by unfairness.

If I was in that person's shoes I would see you as a pompus ahole, for laughing because they are stressed out over something. But if they do it for "Hey I flammed bolt, will you go out with me?" is different then if you were being a jerk to someone and since from the looks of that statement your defense would be "Hah, I'm so much better then you, I don't even have to talk to you"

Also for everyone, saying that PMs will not result to flamming, seems like "I don't have to warn them, because no one saw me get flammed or made fun of"

I feel like I made a very bad statement in this post but it's early in the morning, and even if so, meh, I didn't do anything to get warned for.

You don't have to be exact, just slightly more specific.

If the offense is borderline then you will likely not get a warning.

I ment if you pissed someone off and they got mad at you, you would just laugh and close the topic, which is incredblie annoying to a lot of people.

Although I feel that some topic lockings have been arbitrary, they're fine for the most part, Golden-Fist.

I remember that when I was first here I complained about having one of my topics locked for reasons that weren't in the rules. I now respect the fact that it may have been an attempt to prevent a Mac vs PC flame war from breaking out.

You'll probably find that there's usually a decent reason behind topic lockings.

I think Yoshi never should have made the chick thread; but that is my opinion.

It was one of the most veiwed threads for a long time. I don't think anything was wrong with it.

Alright, to conclude, does anyone notice how much LESS moderating we have to do? Go ahead and call us strict, but we're making the job easy for our moderators compared to some other sites. Once in a while we have spam attacks, or a topic to move or whatever.

Traffic has been going up, and I find that the need to moderate is coming less and less.

Yea, u guys aren't that strict and are much much nicer than those other depraved and flagrant admins on other sites.


Only thing i would have to say is that sometimes some of u guys are too serious and might get a bit pissy over innocuous jokes or sarcasm. But i guess it's probably because it's hard to tell just by reading it.
